Yup it's 3:21 a.m. here in NY and although I didn't get any sleep four years ago, I thought this year would be different. Cannot sleep until we hear from our President but may leave the 'puter as I'm numb from the waist down.
This will actually go down as one of the most stunning victories in political history. No president before, including even Richard Nixon, has been the target of so much hate by his political opponents. Yet not only has President Bush won re-election but he has actually added to his senate and house majority. Not even Ronald Reagan, with his landslide, could do this in 1984. Think about it. President Bush also enjoyed victories in the 2002 mid-term elections. No Republican president in our history has had such coattails! I can't even think of a Democrat president who has done the same.
And THAT will help? NOT!
