How can anyone be winning or losing yet? It is three fifty p.m. in Colorado, half the voters haven't voted yet..........can we just all calm down.

I just hope Thune wins at the close of the polls in my former home in the state of South Dakota where as a liberal democrat I used to vote for Daschle many years ago.

These are the accurate late numbers..not early ones!

No they are NOT!

both of these are out west -- not even 4pm yet -- so they still are 60/41 women, unemployed, and retired.

HUGE difference than tonight when people get home from work --

ALSO -- remember early voting exit polls may NOT be included!

CBS/NY Times Poll: Bush 51%, Kerry 43% Among Early Voters
October 31, 2004
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/10/31/opinion/polls/main652496.shtml

[SNIP]
In many states (including battlegrounds like Florida) in-person early voting began weeks ago. Today one in five voters nationwide say they have already cast their ballot in some way, and still more were planning to do so before Tuesday when interviewed Thursday through Saturday.

13% of likely voters volunteered that they already voted when we asked if they were likely to vote this year; the remainder told us that they had done so when we asked the method by which were voting.

Early voters split about evenly, one-third each between Democrats, Republicans and Independents. They are a bit older: one-quarter are 65 or over, and eight in ten are above age 45. President Bush holds a lead among them.

ALREADY CAST A BALLOT: WHO DID YOU VOTE FOR?

Bush -- 51%
Kerry -- 43%

Exit polls are like making wooden a$$ holes for sawhorses.

The one time there was an exit poll at my precinct (~12 yr ago), I wouldn't cooperate. Hopefully many others won't either. We'll all just have to sweat it out.

Drudge is becoming a political menace.

I'd like to see us get back to where he was just a nuisance.

Drudge is liking the spotlight, but he's looking like Frankenstein's monster in Young Frankenstein (Puttin' on the Ritz!).

Wowser. That's one of the most colorful expressions I've seen in a long time. Very appropriate for exit polls.

From National Review:

Thune (SD) +4, Castor (FL) +3, Burr +3 (NC), Bunning (KY) +6 , Coburn (OK) +6 , Demint (SC) +4 , Salazar (CO) +4

Drudges numbers on the Mel Martinez race are clashing with NRO..

He ran against ELizabeth Dole and lost by a large margin.
This attempt was doomed from the get go.
He has Clintonitis...and NC knows it.

I will hold Drudge to the same standard that the blogosphere held SeeBS News and will forego any future visits to his site. His rush to post huge, banner headlines which were based on completely bogus poll data puts him in my "media dump" category along with Rather and Co. I don't watch SeeBS News and I ain't browsing Drudge from now on.
