Today's Topic: If I Were President, I Would.....? With the election going on today, we decided to make each of you "President" for a day. Now that you are ruling the country--what would you do? Would you give everyone Friday's off? Would you get rid of the income tax? What would you do? |
~ President (Insert Your Name) ~
Scenario
Before you sit down and do this, please GO VOTE!
America needs you. You have been made President for a day because the current one is going fishing on the new Mars settlement.
If I Were President, I Would...... Ban Taxes? Remove The Speed Limit? Repeal the Beer Tax? (Have to get a plug in for Burkaman 4 President!)
What would you do?
We want to know!! |
Now it's your turn to share. What would you do as President? |

Thanks, Meekie, for my cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows. It's freezing outside, and almost mitten weather inside.

Faster pussycat: A stable hand leads Kitten's Joy and his rider off the track after a warm-up at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Kitten's Joy is even odds for the $2 Million Breeders' Cup this weekend.

Here's a thread to lighten the spirits and make you quit biting your fingernails!
Glum Kerry in Virtual Concession!
Now I propose that we take up a collection to buy plane tickets to Timbuktu for all those liberals who hate this country!
Or is "liberals who hate this country" being redundant?

We kept it, Pedro: Some Red Sox fans got high outside Fenway Park in Boston after their team swept the Cardinals to win the World Series for the first time in 86 years.

I just got an email from one of the "rotten" kid's teachers in middle school.
Her son Dave is with the ist Cav 2-7 in Iraq. They were in Najaf for the month of August. The 2-7 has just left Camp Cooke, and, she assumes, they are on their way to Fallujah.
The following is a quote from her email:
This is going to be nasty. Dave is very proud of his CIB and the job he is doing. My emotions run all over the place. I am so pleased that voter turn-out is going to set records. After the election we need to heal and bind ourselves together to support whoever wins. Please keep him and his men in your prayers.
Christie K
Prayers for ALL the men & women of OUR Armed Forces, especially those in harm's way.

If I were president I'd instruct the Federal Election Commission to get off their duffs and take every step possible to ensure a fair election in 2008. Learn the ways cheating is done, and close those gaps.

If I were President, I would institute a minimum competency test for voters in national elections. Voting should be an earned right.
