(New Haven-WTNH, Oct. 29, 2004 10:00 PM) _ Muslim-Americans are fearful of the possible fallout from the Osama bin Laden tape. Muslim leaders in New Haven are worried the tape could make them targets of intolerance.
"It's just disheartening."
New Haven's Islamic leaders reject Osama bin Laden and his message. In a newly released video the terrorist leader ties Muslim security to American security. Those threats are not accepted by American born Muslims.
"To speak about security and threatening people, I think that anyone who as we said has a heart alive and feels for humanity would shake their head at reading statements like that," says Dawood Yasin.
Yasin is the prayer leader for the Masjid Al-Islam Mosque in New Haven. His mosque was vandalized this week during the holy month of Ramadan. They already feel like targets. They say this new video doesn't help anyone.
"We have Muslims who are killing innocents, Christians who are killing innocents, and Jews who are killing innocents," says Dr. Jimmy Jones, Educational Coordinator for Masjid al-Islam. "Can we take the moral high ground for once."
The Muslims we spoke are concerned about the death toll that the war on terror has taken on Americans and foreigners. They're hoping whomever sits in the Oval Office after November 2nd uses restraint in protecting our country.
"I will insult you a second time!" LOL!
If terrorism continues in this country, the Islamists may be praying for the SAFETY of interment.
Call me narrow-minded and intolerate, I just haven't figured out how to embrace shrapnel with a smile.
There's a relatively easy way out from under the stigma that Osama's pronouncements attaches to the Muslim community...DENOUNCE THIS MAN FOR THE GODLESS MURDERER THAT HE IS and make common cause with those who seek Osama's destruction. It's that simple.
When American Muslims organize and march in anti-OBL demonstrations, I'll consider the 'fears.'
We have Muslims who are killing innocents. CORRECT.
We have Christians who are killing innocents. WRONG - Christians kill terrorist Muslims that kill innocent Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
We have Jews who are killing innocents. WRONG - Jews kill terrorist Muslims that kill innocent Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
What can you expect from someone who worships a pedophile?
Well, Duh? One might be excused for thinking that perhaps our resident Muslims ould find it in their hearts, or those of their wives', to 'step up to the plate' and say something angry or apologetic about the wave of terror their fellow jihadists have unleashed all around the globe.
Or maybe stop contributing to their mosque, because that money goes to support terrorism? Or may advise their imams to tone down the sermons a tad? The sad fact of the matter is, that while differing interpretations of the meaning of jihad do exist, one Muslim is duty bound to support another Muslim's version ... at the expense of the infidels.
Plenty of nice Muslims around. However, if they haven't chosen up sides before there's another attack, they had better think about getting out of Dodge.
That's one of the positive things that will come out of the War on Terror. Eventually it will force EVERYONE to choose sides.
Not the slightest concern that the tape may contain coded signals ordering another terrorist attack on the US. Not the least bit of anger over bin Laden's attempt to influence our election through fearmongering. Not even the slightest amount of condemnation for bin Laden and what he represents, beyond the word of the reporter, who is without doubt fully indoctrinated into the "religion of peace" school of thought. He wouldn't have his job if he weren't.
Instead, all we get from these Muslims is yet another tired litany of whining and carping about how evil we all are and how "persecuted" and "oppressed" they are. It's all about them, all the time. And people wonder why they're going to vote democrat almost to a man.
In other words, 'Islamics for Kerry,' right? Thought so. You don't really know what you are asking for. The appeaser will open the floodgates of terror in this country.
If you are whining now, you will wailing and gnashing your teeth. And Kerry will leave the country and look for another budding nation to destroy.
There is no such thing as restraint when it comes to protecting this country! What an idiot!
I've got an idea. I know there has to be muslims in our country who agree with OBL. How 'bout you guys let us know who they are? Or better yet, take care of them yourselves and let us know when you are finished.
It is a basic teaching of Islam that a Muslim MAY NOT take the side of an infidel against a fellow Muslim
Then they better vote for BUSH!!
(a) Leave the country before the next terror attack.
(b) Stay and overhaul your religion immediately and keep it out of our faces. It is incompatible with your neighbors who are a free people and civilization as a whole.
- Stuff all the terrorists and sympathizers in your neighborhood in a dumpster and drag it down to city hall.
- Learn the rules of citizenship and start paying your own way instead of lining up for welfare.
- Start treating your families as equals instead of property to be treated and disposed of as you would an animal.
- Respect our laws, our Consitution and our country and take an oath to defend them with your life, your fortune, and your sacred honor.
(c) Prepare to go down with the rest of us.
