Bush down 1, Kerry unchanged

Hmmm... I wonder if it is the weekend?
I think the Bin Laden tape is hurting Bush because Bush is not mentioning the weakness demonstrated by it.
He is letting the media spin it as a failure.
Last weekend, the Bush team said that the race would tighten and then mid week turn into a six point Bush lead..this happened, a la Newsweek etc.
The Bush people said not to worry about polls out this weekend as Republicans always poll poorly on weekends.
Voila.
Believe me the Osama tape is not hurting Bush and he is mentioning it.
It's the AP/WashPost poll...that's what the problem is, plus it is the weekend!
My God, do you mean there is a chance that we might wake up Wednesday morning to find that we now have Usamas favorite candidate leading the free world?
Wapo Ptooiie
"..Weekends are always bad for us. It's common to see Kerry do well on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekends look good for kerry and then turn back to about +3 for us when weekend is washed out. I think you'll see the same thing in tomorrow's tracking polls..."
.
ok, i trust you -- but the drumbeat of the media is negative on this, and the bush campaign is not offensively responding.
We're in a tight spot!
Team Bush doesn't want to appear to be politicizing the tape.
Notice that Kerry did not go up, only Bush went down. Evidently, Kerry gained no support and Bush had supporters away from their homes on the weekend.

It seems that the Bushies rely more on grass-root campaign this time around and at this late stage of campaign.
More lies from the left/socialist media.
Well, I think he needs to make one more national statement answering the attacks on his credibility...
Friend, In the four years of the Bush presidency when has the media not been a drumbeat against the President.
This is the ABC/WA PO poll..AP/IPSOS is different.
Bush is up one in the new Reuters poll today, making it a tie.
Well, then you had better prepare yourself, because by the end of today (Sunday), RealClearPolitics will have Bush's average lead below 2.0 points, and probably below 1.0 point (or even a Kerry lead) by the end of Monday.
