My son in law is in the Navy. After 5 years, he re-upped last year for 3 more. He has thought of making it a career and proudly serves his country.
But like many, many of his comrades, he wonders what he will do if John Kerry becomes the commander in chief.
He knows all about Kerry --- testifying to lies in the Senate, the Winter Soldier lies, the questionable medals, the visits to Paris, the vote whether to assassinate senators, etc. He knows that Kerry's words were used to torture men in custody.
Soldiers and sailors everywhere are worried. Those who have made it a career know that the commander in chief will change and it might not be someone with whom they agree. But he is the commander in chief, and they do their job to serve the country. That is what comes first.
But our warriors have never faced anything like this. Clinton loathed the military and hurt the military, but they survived. With Kerry, they know that they are facing the prospect of being commanded by someone who can truly be called a traitor.
Many of our finest will wonder what to do. Would commander in chief Kerry force them to wear the blue helmets of the U.N.? Would he turn them over to a world court for justice? Would he veto funding bills like the $87 billion?
I had written previously that under Kerry, we might need a draft because of the number of soldiers who would not serve under him.
Right now, our military is the best in the world. Among the reasons are that the men and women respect their commander in chief. And their commander in chief respects them. We will have a nightmare on our hands if the commander changes right now.
Mil bloggers Sgt Hook and Citizen Frank say soldiers will serve the commander in chief no matter who it is. In fact, they say it DOESN'T matter. But it does.
Kerry may have technically been enlisted but he was never a trooper. He was right to throw away his medals because he did not deserve them.
We may have legal grounds to impeach him should he be elected. "Stolen Honor" will air tomorrow night on PAX.
The thought of them twisting in the wind for another year or so, dying for a losing cause until Kerry decides enough time has passed for him to declare victory and then bring them home, is abominating.
My son served under Bush 40 and wanted to make a career serving in the Navy...Clinton was elected and decide (as well as other good men) to find another career opportunities outside the service as opposed to serving a President with not guts...
If the traitor somehow managed to pull this off, I would strongly support a military coupe in order to enforce the Constitution, as pretains to electing traitors.
Kerry's election means an end to the volunteer army and a return to the draft.
It's the democrat's motus operandi.
No soldier wants to serve under a known communist, Kerry is one, so that settles it. Soldiers of patriotic bent will drop out. No KOSOVO's for God fearing American soldiers. Killing greek orthodox christians tomake room for the alquaieda muzzies, and provide them a base of operations in Europe, was morally repugnant to many americans, and soldiers.
clintong did it.
Kerry would have us bombing Taiwan, to pacify the rebels (as beijing calls it).
And soldiers of freedom loving birth, won't have it. Hence, to enforce socialism worldwide, will require us to put american men into a draft that is run for the benefit of the United Nations. That is the worldview of John Kerry & Co.
I pray fervently for his defeat.
As I do for President Bush's firm, and incontravertable victory.
God help us this next three days.

Yes, yes and yes.
The outrage is that Kerry can only win by fraud. In that case, civil war will be the only remedy available to people, the only way to shed the leftist tyrants who would feed on them. Jefferson warned us this would happen. If not in 2004, then someday. We'd better be ready for it when it comes.
That said, I really do not believe Kerry can win this. Maybe Hillary in 2008. But not Kerry in 2004.
That's what I though, I BET MANY people are waiting until Nov 2 to see who is in, and basing their military future on that.
"With Kerry, they know that they are facing the prospect of being commanded by someone who can truly be called a traitor."
Bears repeating.
Hasn't Kerry pretty much said as much? He's for rule by the UN. He wants world government with the USA towing the line --- whatever the UN says will go.
The U.S. military enlistment/commissioning oath is centered primarily on the phrase "Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States".
Nor have we ever elected a CIC that headed an organization that was being completely manipulated by our Communist enemies in North Vietnam and, most likely, Moscow. This is dreadful to contemplate. I continue to believe that if the electorate really knew the truth about this charlatan, he wouldn't get more than 25% of the vote, mainly from the ABB crowd.
It's never too late to back out.... no matter what they tell you.
I'm afraid that Kerry will sign us onto the ICC. I can imagine him allowing members of our military to be tried for war crimes. That is one of the many reasons why I'm voting for GWB.
I've asked my husband several times what he will do if Kerry wins. He says that he will stay in the military because he serves this country, not just one man. I admire his patriotism, but I'm still concerned.
It will be obvious as enlistment terms end and there are no more re-ups.
If Kerry wins, it won't be the same country we have known. I don't know what individuals in the service of the country will do, but I won't fault them if they leave.
he will have to assess what "this country" really is, if it happens.
That you fail to see the gravity of such a disaster is very discouraging.
Did you not notice that we are at war with people who attacked us because for eight years we showed weakness when attacked?
