President Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry remain locked in a close race for Florida's 27 electoral votes as they head into the final days of the 2004 campaign, a new poll indicated Thursday.
Among 16 percent of Florida voters who said they had cast early ballots, Kerry received 56 percent of those compared to Bush's 39 percent. [Editor's Note: NewsMax's Insider Report first revealed early voting results --

"I think Geraghty's info is more current."
Thanks for that news!!!
I'm glad to hear Mel Martinez is finally up. Looks like he will win! Bush, by the way, is definitely taking Florida.
The only way sKerry could win is by fraud and I believe (pray) we're ready for it this time.
That tells me Bush isn't too worried about OH or FL. If those states are razor thin, then we have to believe that Rove and Bush are idiots. I do not believe so.
She is very aware..I made her drive 3 hours out if the way on a trip to California to visit the Reagan Library....she likes Reagan, but that was a quiet ride.
Well were do I start with this... 1st.) it is a percentage of a percentage... 16% of voters that said they cast early ballots. (That is misleading to start.. there is no confirmation that they actually sent ballots in yet, and 16% of the voting populations is by no means a good indication of the overall voting populations for Fl.
2nd.) 56% to 39% is not that unachievable a gap to cross with only 16% of the vote in. (I really cannot belive that it actually 16% of all voters in Fla either.)
3rd.) Try realclearpolitics.com and the only poll that truly counts is the one on Nov 2nd.
I wish people would quit calling me a Troll....I AM NOT.
Yes, Broward.
From Kerry Spot:
Among early and absentee votes cast already, Bush has huge lead in FL, bigger than his advantage in Florida in 2000.
Theres a great contrast in the respective get-out-the-vote operations for Bush and Kerry. Around 25 percent of registered voters report being contacted by a Bush-Cheney volunteer, most often members of their church or community organization or neighbor. About 19 percent of registered voters have been contacted on behalf of the Kerry-Edwards campaign, but the vast majority of these contacts are by paid temps of the campaign, the DNC, or a related 527. Will the personal touch have an effect?
How so?
Bush will win Florida. My guess is that the Bush campaign's exit polling is taking a more thorough look at early voting trends than the public poll.
Republicans are busy doing a little thing called WORK! It's mainly the low-life, , NON-WORKING welfare-whore demonRATS that are voting right now... that, AND dead people, etc. I wouldn't WORRY about these early vote polls. They are B.S.
"How so?"
If Florida is this close, Cheney should be there and not in Hawaii. Notice I did say "If true".
And the spread will probably be even more pronounced by Nov. 2, since these voters will most likely be voting every day, several times a day. As someone mentioned to me today, we've had four years to tighten the elections system in this country, but have done nothing. Bush has been in charge, he knew the problem based on 200, but things have only become worse. Gotta pray...
Great line!
Yet another of the thousands of unemployed campaign managers who still think they were terminated unfairly. ;)
Strange...I heard the opposite. Anyone else hear this? (Bush leading in early exit polling)
Oh, good grief. [rolling eyes]
Of course you're a troll. You've posted nothing but doom and gloom all day.
