TERROR TAPE WARN OF BUSH, CHENEY CONSEQUENCE; ABC WITHHELD PORTIONS FROM CIA
**Exclusive**
ABCNEWS withheld portions of an alarming new al Qaeda videotape which warns the next terror attack will dwarf 9/11 from the CIA when they submitted the video for analysis, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
The CIA and FBI late Wednesday authenticated the tape, federal sources tell DRUDGE. ABCNEWS has been informed of the government's standing.
"What took place on September 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America and that our Lord willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11," the man, whose face is covered by a headdress, warns in the video. "After decades of American tyranny, now it's your turn to die."
ABCNEWS submitted portions of the video threat to the FBI and CIA on Monday for analysis, top government sources tell DRUDGE, after obtaining the tape from a source in Pakistan.
A top goverment source said from Washington that ABC withheld the final 15 minutes of the tape from the CIA -- the portion of the tape where the man warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.

"You are guilty, guilty, guilty. You're as guilty as Bush and Cheney. You're as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell...," the man states.
He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.
"People of America, that was the verdict now for the sentencing: as participants and partners in the crimes of the regime, you too shall pay the price for the blood that has been spilled."
One ABC source, who demanded anonymity, said Thursday morning, the network was struggling to find a correct journalistic "balance" before airing any story on the video.
"This is not something you just throw out there while people are voting," the ABC source explained.
I still suspect that there were two tapes out there (at least) -- ABC had one, decided to dub the tape and cut the last 15 minutes, and give the dub one to the CIA. Another media outlet had been given the tape and also turned it over to the CIA. The CIA notices that the ABC tape is 15 minutes short -- that's why it was the FEDS reporting it rather than some ABC mole.
Why would it be illegal? It's my understanding they turned over a tape voluntarily. Unless they were under subpoena, I don't think it would be illegal.
Sleazy, yes. Illegal, no.
I would say "LIKELY" not "MAYBE"
The article is posted in it's entirety on FR already. Guess what else.. The reason the CSM's correspondant had viewed the entire video was because she is ALSO ABC's PRODUCER IN PAKISTAN! So I e-mailed the CSM to see what she had to say about this.
We don't know yet...only something about warning with the words Bush/Cheney.
I'll bet it says if we re-elect them, blood will run in the streets. That kind of nonsense.
Wouldn't the CIA have to have the original for authentication? Could they authenticate from a copy?
I'm with you on that. FR has some power to be heard, that's for sure.
I thought I read that the original tape was obtained in Pakistan and uplinked to New york via Sattelite. Obviously our sattelites made a copy. ABC then gave edited copy to us which we knew was incomplete. Some Government official dropped the dime.
CIA had the tape?? Sez who?
I think MSM is destroying themselves and we ought to let the citizenry react. If GWB goes after them now, before a public outcry, it will be a bad reaction. Wait till after the election, when the din of the public screaming reaches a peak,,,then nail the bastards.
Withholding a presidential threat? That's illegal.

CONTROVERSY HITS ABC NEWS POLITICAL DIRECTOR MARK HALPERIN... EXCLUSIVE DEVELOPING... An internal memo written by ABCNEWS Political Director Mark Halperin admonishes ABC staff during coverage of Democrat Kerry and Republican Bush -- not to 'reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable'...
Don't forget the LA Times groping story/smear on Arnold Schwartzenegger.
"You are guilty, guilty, guilty. You're as guilty as Bush and Cheney. You're as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell...," the man states.
^--- apparently withheld portition
He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.
^--- we had heard this before
Contradiction?
ABC NEWS - WE DECIDE WHAT YOU NEED REPORTED TO YOU!
If the Feds needed a freaking subpoena, God help ABC.
I don't care what the politcal consequences would be, you do not withhold info from the CIA. I wonder if this is a criminal offense.
All I can say is wow.
Yes, the CIA could and would do that.
Bret Baier said yesterday that ABC go the tape over the weekend and held onto it for a few days before turning it over to the feds.
I guess this means everyone has to work this weekend. heh!
Well, what with all the whistle blowers and this Election getting really deep and desperate from the RATS side of the house, I am just holding on tight.
What with all the video camera's and mic's out there today, we should all smile as we leave our homes, because we never know when we are 'caught on tape.'
And there is always someone around the corner that can't wait to stick it to someone as fast as possible.
I hope everyone will be ok over this weekend. I am getting very leery.
