ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

Isn't this an attempt to basically "batten down the hatches and scare the world" with the mother of all scares?
It's the same attitude that allowed ABC to hold on to the video for a few days. After what happened in Spain and the fact that we are days away from an election it is better to error on the side of caution and not worry about who this helps in the election. I hope more people are as mad as I am about this, it's not funny in the least.
How so? In what measure? To date, and for 30+ years, their corporate shareholders haven't given a crap about their profitability.
I think the reason Kerry keeps bringing up the ports is because Hilary has been griping about them since 9/11 - think about it, most of Kerry constituents live in California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Maine, etc. port cities, so he is just playing to his base. Besides, I heard Brett Baer say one day that the ships have been checked at ports before they leave for US and then selected containers are also checked here.
My thoughts about the media and how they get away with the crap they have done this year regarding Kerry: If you think about it, the press is so much more powerful that even the Presdent. If the president says something that is untrue, there will be a hearing and he will be forced to testify under oath. If the press wants to lie, the site an unknown source that will spew the lie, and then when asked who gave the information, the press can hide behind not "revealing their source", therefore they can lie, lie, lie with impunity, rarely are they forced to spend actual time in jail for being in contempt and in the meantime, the lies have done their damage.

Rush reported last week on your first item (Kerry's lead six attorneys are ready to fly anywhere to "hot spot states" at a moment's notice). And these attorneys, according to Rush, would use the Supreme Court-based reasoning that gave Bush the victory in Florida in that lone county recounts "disenfranchised" voters because not all Florida votes received the same privilege.
If ANY significant group of voters can be claimed on Election Day to having been "disenfranchised," then the already-written legal briefs will be filed. All these attorneys need to do is slap on the given court venue and away they go. There won't be the delays we saw in Florida. The courts would be involved from the get-go this time.

(1) inbound Red Line metro train was stopped yesterday morning around 7:40 at Woodley Park/Zoo station for "security check" with train stopped and a Metro "swat" type officer walking alongside looking into the cars - he did not enter (first time that's ever happened to me since 9/11, and I heard from others that other trains were also stopped)
(2) yesterday around 5:45 in Rockville I thought I heard a fighter circling up in the clouds - familiar with that sound from after 9/11, but hadn't heard it recently
In the past, they gave tapes to Al Jazeera and ? (memory fails me) other outlets.
It seems odd that now they would select ABC--but then again, it IS an American-based outlet where others aren't.
I was looking at research on Adam Pearlman, the American who appears in the tape. He is a converted radical, from California---and is known to be in Pakistan.
Osama was also sighted in Pakistan in the past few days, as recent as October 25.
Our authorities ARE aware and are on their trail.
I think it is time to pave Pakistan!

I'm beginning to think that this IS all they had. This was their big O.S. and they are going to hold onto it for dear life. And Kerry says Bush won't admit when he's wrong???

A major attack occurred about 2 weeks ago, shutting down access to many websites. We have an isolate and destroy process in place, and that is why it wasn't worse.

On the other hand, if they raise the level and nothing happens, Kerry will spin it as grandstanding and hype.
Well let me say this.

Do you think they viewed it in Pakistan, probably, right.
They knew what was on it, and could have notified the US authorities in Pakistan and the military could have had it to the CIA in a matter of hours.
Instead they say they have been working "24 hours a day" to authenticate it.
Why do they need to authenticate it, why not just turn it over, since it deals with a threat to our national security?
Yes, you are missing something. They did not withhold it from the CIA/HS/FBI.
