The Washington Times ^ | 10/26/04 | John McCaslin

Posted on 10/26/2004 6:20:44 AM PDT by Pfesser

Hang on, poll-weary Americans, Election Day is almost upon us.

The latest presidential polling numbers sent to Inside the Beltway range from a virtual dead heat to the most lopsided results we could find: an IncrediMail poll that gives George W. Bush 74.4 percent to John Kerry's 25.6 percent (no margin of error listed).

Seeing the site that comes up if you Google 'Incredimail', its a sham poll designed to get people to wonder what 'incredimail' is and go by this cheesy little commercial site. Kind of smart, actually, I guess.

This is not a real poll, just an internet vote.

Meaningless

Since IncrediMail is a program that infects Microsoft Outlook with new features like smileys and backgrounds, it's clearly some kind of Internet poll and sadly not representative.

It's fairly well known that Blue State people don't like that sort of thing, while Red State people eat it up, and so the results are no surprise for me. I'm afraid this is one situation where I'm solidly on the Blue State side :-(.

That Hawaii map might be turned to red. Polls show it even and Dubya finally did an ad buy there.

If you got Vermont and New York red you may as well add Oregon and Hawaii.

Oh, heck. Throw in California too.

I just checked out the site. It also polled how many people use cell phones. The # was 66.67%. This is interesting since we keep hearing that people with cell phones aren't being polled. This might indicate that those cell phone people may be going for Bush.

I'm sticking with my 59% Bush.

I like you optimism.

Sort of like my optimistic view that the Tampa Bay Bucs will win the Super Bowl this year.

More like Bush 50.9% to 51.4 % after the lawyers get done

I know it's not a poll...and neither is my dream...but they make you feel good.

We will all get out and vote to make it 73%.

Uh, sorry but you definitely have to have Washington in blue on that map -- the leftists in Puget Sound are in full riot mode. On the good side, you may get to change Oregon and Hawaii to red.
