I Got My Draft Card
10/23/04 | Sadie

“I got my draft card,” that is what you will be hearing, if Kerry wins and you or anyone you love is of draft age. Kerry winning will very likely end up causing a draft; the reasons are because the military is spread thin, Kerry has alienated our alliances, and Halliburton has said over and over that if they don’t have enough protection for their employees they will pull out. Kerry said he plans to add 40,000 troops. So, lets see what will more likely happen if Kerry is elected.

First of all, Kerry has alienated our alliances. These countries will more likely start pulling their troops out. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Second, Halliburton will pull out because their employees will not have enough protection. This means that military personnel will have to fill these thousands of empty job positions. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Third, the military is already spread thin. THIS MEANS KERRY AS PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO BRING BACK THE DRAFT. This can cause another Vietnam and thousands of lives lost, because Kerry will want to save face. Remember he said, “Just because Bush couldn’t do the job doesn’t mean that he can’t do the job.”

Fourth, Kerry said he plans to add 40,000 troops. THIS MEANS THAT THERE WILL BE A DRAFT.

NOTE: Right now, the United States is training Iraq troops so that they can take over and we can bring our soldiers back home. I hope that we can be smart enough on Nov 2nd to give the Bush Administration the opportunity to accomplish this goal.

The draft if brought back is supposed to be all males and females ages 18-26 with no deferrments. This will probably cause a major baby boom in the girls who don't want to be drafted. Just stay pregnant from age 18-26.

People in the military will quit too, (don't forget that the Kerry camp says that they don't care about the moral in the military)which will cause an even greater shortage in the military.

yes its pretty much as you have said. and the other reason that kerry will institute a draft even though he has said that he will not is that he has also said and proven that he can review the situation and change his mind. the interesting thing about this is that it will cause a rebellion from the radical left, the same group that he has been pandering to for votes.

You've got that right. That's why it is so amusing to see Kerry push this lie about Bush going to have a return to the draft to scare. It is most obvious Kerry has angered the Polish PM who was not happy about Kerry's disregard to Poland's contribution and said so and it makes it most likely he will not be willing to extend Polish troops in Iraq, as well as other allies Kerry has demeaned over in Iraq. Kerry will be a disaster. I guess we will always have the Michael Moores, Leonardo DiCapprios, Sean Penns, Brad Pitts willing to serve under a Kerry?

I know of 2 active duty who plan to quit if Kerry wins (thru medical problems) and 1 who is waiting to reup until after the election.

Still shocked 40+% of America would vote for a traitor.

You've said it, "Kerry will be a disaster." I with you on that one.

He will need a draft to get military. His supporters are not the kind of people that would serve and those who now serve will not want to be under his command. The vast majority of military are voting for Bush.

Good idea.

It certainly is, and I'll do my best to help the girls avoid the draft.

I'm shocked too that 40+% of America would vote for a traitor, but when I think about it...There are lots of foriegners living here that can vote and they are not American by heart.

I think we will see John Kerry issuing his resignation before he reinstates the draft. It would be political suicide to try.

I wonder how they are getting the names and addresses of these draft aged people, especially the younger ones. I'm thinking their names are getting out through the school system or something. I've heard stories of 18 year olds getting draft cards, and teens being called by sKerry support groups asking for help. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I was 18(not long ago), no one outside friends and family knew who I was, let alone political organizations.......I smell a rat is in the works somewhere, or better yet a RAT

Kerry's military will suffer from plunging enlistments
and re-enlistments. He will have to have a draft, and
all the draft bills are actually Universal National
Service bills.

You might be able to chose between cleaning toilets in
a slum or putting on a uniform, but the odds are that

he won't even get enough people opting for those pretty
blue helmets, and before long, the military will be
conscripting.

Yet another reverse projection hoax.
What Kerry accuses Bush of planning is not only not
true, it's exactly what Kerry will deliver.

Here's a summary of the draft hoax.

Well that, and uninformed voters. Its amazing the number of people who can't even name their Congressmen or Senators, much less tell you anything about the founding of our country, or the basic rights listed in the Constitution, but they are more than willing to cancel my vote out based on ignorance. I should know, I was one of them (see my profile page)

We had a local referendum here last month on a SPLOST, and one of the fellow soccer moms asked me what a SPLOST was (Special Local Option Sales Tax). It passed, and our property taxes will come down now, but still...

I work the soccer fields hard, lol.

Which will give us President John Edwards. From the frying pan into the fire!
