I asked PETA for their thoughts on Kerry and the Goose yesterday, and I received the following reply from them...
Thank you for contacting PETA about political candidates who engage in blood sports. Please understand that PETA certainly opposes any activity which causes intentional harm to animals, including hunting and fishing.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational organization, PETA is prohibited from participating in any political campaigns or endorsing a particular candidate or party. However, we encourage you to contact the candidate or party that you are interested in directly; ask the party representatives for their position on animal rights, and tell the candidate that animal rights issues will influence your vote.
To learn a candidate's position on a comprehensive list of issues, including animal protection, please contact Project Vote Smart at 1-888-VOTE-SMART or http://www.vote-smart.org (be sure to include the hyphen).
PETA's "Guide to Letter-Writing (http://www.peta.org/alert/guide.html) offers helpful tips for writing to elected officials.
To learn more about ways to combat cruelty to animals as "sport" please see the following sites:

Thanks again for writing and for everything you do for animals!
Sincerely,
The PETA Staff
Yes...of course I believe that...well...no...not really...
You you have to expect PETA really believed their doctrine.
That is why it is important for the rats to get Nader off the ballot. You can't appeal to the hunter and the hippie, but you can try.
Here's to you PETA (toasting my juicy steak in your direction. Stay tuned this weekend when I shall torture and kill numerous fish...
Oops. newly-re-elected.
Wimps!
That is the exact same response they sent me! They are hypocrites. Can you imagine if President Bush was the one with the dead goose?
Translation: PETA is completely aware that Kerry was only
pretending to hunt in order to fool some redneck voters.

HIPPIES FOR BUSH !!!
You are so right. They goal is to give us socialism. They have a bunch of fooled women working for them.
Now if was Bush who shot the goose, the letter would have said, "We must remove this 'selected not elected' President, and PeTA will do everything in our power to see that it happens."
Read some great commentary from Ohio gun owners about Kerry's photo op with the dead goose.

DU Maintains Political Neutrality in Presidential Race
We are aware that U.S. Senator John Kerry hunted Canada geese in Ohio earlier today (October 21, 2004). Press reports show that the Senator was wearing a Ducks Unlimited hat and that he was hunting with a local Ducks Unlimited member and supporter.
Ducks Unlimited is a non-partisan organization. DU has no affiliation with any political party, nor do we endorse any political candidate. However, it should be recognized that in support of our wildlife habitat conservation work, the Ducks Unlimited logo is branded on many products, including hats, jackets, and other clothing.
One gentleman on the trip was misidentified as a local Ducks Unlimited "board" member. He is not a member of Ducks Unlimited's board of directors. No one was there to represent Ducks Unlimited in any way during the hunting trip. Ducks Unlimited has 1 million members and supporters who also have a variety of political affiliations.
Convenient.
