just an FYI for fellow Ruger 10/22 rifle owners:
The AWB-caused (and lamentable) ten-year dearth of new Butler Creek 25 round capacity "Hot Lips" magazines is at an end.
I recently purchased a fair number of them from Michaels of Oregon. @ $25 apiece. Expected them in 4-6 weeks, they arrived in one week.
All perfectly functional. Well worth the price. Figured y'all'd want to know they're available again.
as a startpoint - a most droolworthy site:

I dunno if they're new, but they're available.
The local range/shop had a display of 10 round pistol mags with the sign, "Limited Edition Collector Items" LOL!
LOL!
'course, if Flipper manages to shoehorn his way into the whitehouse...
(why d'you think ALL of my surplus funds are going towards "targeted items"?)
...and, if ya wanna deal with a Russian site...

and, finally:

Here is a factory Ruger AC556, in .223, complete with folding stock and extended mags.
That machinegun is either for law enforcement/military only or built in the 1980s well before Ruger embarked on the gun control agenda.
shoot fast. shoot straight. shoot safe. molon labe.
you fergit: Shoot 'till they STAYS down.
thanks for that weblink

great prices!
Butler Creek is the only extended magazine that I would trust for a 10/22.
I'm kind of partial to black and oak. I think I'll leave mine alone.
bonk.
Yes, I'm drooling and slobbering all over myself! Happy now?
I'm in the midst of redoing my 1022 as a bullpup (basically, so as to not interfere with my mojo re: my bullpupped AK47)
I don't like the feel of the Muzzelite kits I have handled, so I'm scratchbuilding it.
Input on mat'ls would be appreciated.
I'm having a devil of a time finding plank hardwood.
Oak is not too heavy for a 1022?
Yes, it's heavy. My 10-22 weighs more than my elk rifle.
Maybe maple would be good... that's what the upper one is.
I have a few of the 10 round box mags, which I absolutely hate. I often have feeding problems with them.
So I'm looking to upgrade, but want something reliable.
Very very nice. I love how the grain looks on yours.
I've got one I bought early-on during the ban (so it only cost an arm, and not an arm and a leg), and it has worked very well.
I'll pick up 4-5 when supply catches up with demand, and they get down to $20 or so.
