Vote Your Guns

As a proud gun owner and hunter of everything from Texas whitetails to South African wildebeests, to me, Kerry’s anti-gun voting history and his anti-hunting backers are more scary than the 256-pound charging wild boar I shot at a mere ten feet.

In addition to the mondo problems I have with Kerry’s uberliberal senatorial voting record, his DD augmented recollections of his tour of duty in Vietnam, his “let’s appease the terrorists” plan, his undulating Euro-booty kissing, another big reason I am decisively blowing Kerry off is because I prize the time I get to spend shooting, hunting and gun collecting. Kerry and his supporting cast want to tread on my pursuit of cordite happiness and I don’t like it.

Gun owners and hunters, don’t let Kerry fool you with his “I’m a gun owner and hunter and I respect the Second Amendment” bovine scatology. Kerry is about as pro-gun and pro-hunting as I am pro-Dixie Chicks, Michael Jackson, Cat Stevens and Hans Blix. Have you seen any video or stills of Kerry handling a gun? He looks about as knowledgeable, natural and comfortable with a firearm as Al Gore does trying to French kiss Tipper.

What really gets me is his phoniness about hunting. I don't care one way or another if Bush hunts. It is irrelevant. As long as he defends gun rights I don't if he even owns one. Kerry, on the other hand, has a history of anti-gun votes and thinks hunters are so freaking stupid we will buy into his idiotic claims about crawling around on the ground with a shotgun, hunting for deer. It's not whether he hunts or not, it's that he thinks hunters are so ignorant they can be bought with such inept lies. Actually, I wouldn't vote for Kerry even if he had a good record on gun rights, so what's the difference.

Come on, deer hunters, you know this guy is trying to sell uncut China white smack to the brain-softened public...My ClashPoint is this: Kerry is the biggest anti-gun-presidential-wannabe in our nation’s history. Period. Kerry has voted against gun owners 50-plus times in the U.S. Senate and he is Playmate of the Year for PETA and the Humane Society, two of the most rabid anti-hunting organizations in America. Don’t let Kerry’s shotgun-wielding photo ops or Edwards’s “We’re pro-gun” blather blind you from their past voting record and future designs.

While I agree with your sentiment, I don't think Kerry believes that hunters are any more stupid than anyone else. He's spent a lifetime telling people what he thinks they want to hear in order to obtain more power for himself. From his lies about Vietnam, to his misrepresenting his voting support of the military in congress, to his silliness about deer hunting. He's politico-man. He's a manifestation of everything that's wrong with a representative system of government. He's figured out that all you have to do is lie effectively to enough people and the system can be gamed.

Sometimes I believe that deep in her ice cold heart of hearts, Hillary actually believes the Marxist nonsense of her youth. Kerry on the other hand probably sees himself as a DC pragmatist....a guy who can 'get things done' without idealism calling attention to the costs. The only problem is, the thing that he's trying to 'get done' is to get himself more power, and the costs he's not letting idealism get in the way of are all being payed by us.

He's a symptom of a bigger problem, but I'm not voting for a runny nose like him, whether dusts off his Krieghoff twice a year or not.

I'm not a gun owner and I don't hunt but I strongly support the 2nd Amendment. Why? Because the 2nd Amendment really has little to do with hunting. Its purpose is to ensure that the people have the means to take back to government from a tyrant should that ever become necessary.

Still, I'm more than happy that GWB has the support of hunters.

This article on CNN Money proves your point on Candidates and toys. CNN using the shotgun given to Kerry in WV. All mirrors and illusions.

Nothing demonstrates this better than Chicago's mayor. All guns are banned in that city, and corruption is rampant.

No offense but you're 'technically' incorrect. (NOTE, I'm posting this before you get slammed by a certain smart-@$$, who will go un-named).

Chicago's Byzantine Gun Laws

1) All handguns are 'effectively' BANNED. However if you owned one and had it registered during the Jane Byrne era, you might, maybe, possibly, if you're lucky, have your yearly registration renewed by the Chicago Police Dept. But the odds are slim and none - and slim left town (unless you're a connected politician or a member of the mob).

2) 'Certain' Rifles and shotguns are 'legal' BUT (there's always a but in Chi) they must be registered with the CPD and the registration must be renewed each year. And the initial registration MUST BE APPROVED by the Superintendent of the PD (like he has time to do this). So if you don't have them registered or it's expired, YOU'RE breaking the law.

Chicago's definition of "assault rifle" is worse than CA's and confusing as heck. To them almost any non bolt action rifle is pretty much an "assault weapon' and ergo, ILLEGAL.

3) And believe it or not, but it's true - even CAP PISTOLS must be registered with the CPD! Yep, your old 'Fanner 50' cap gun is a 'deadly weapon' to Daley!

4) And forget a BB gun or Pellet Rifle, those have been 100% ILLEGAL in Chicago since the late 1950's.

Chicago's stoo-pid weapons laws can be found on the IL State Police website. IIRC it's 39 pages long!

BTW, almost nobody realizes that their shotguns and rifles must be registered in Chi, as such they're not, and can and will be confiscated if a cop comes across them. You'll also be fined $500, charged and convicted of a felony (there is no defense) and will NOT be able to legally own ANY weapon thereafter.

Exactly...ask the Germans how the Nazi's started out. You eliminate the ability of a people to defend themselves and voila...your job as a fascist dictator just got easier.
