The Missouri-based Islamic America Relief Agency, raided this week by federal, state and local law enforcement, is being tied to terror groups internationally, including Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network.
Thirteen police agencies, including Columbia, Mo., police, the U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Joint Terrorism Task Force, joined in the raid.
While the IARA maintains it was founded in 1985 to provide health-care services and emergency relief to refugees and orphaned children, the Treasury Department said the group has been tied to some 40 terror organizations worldwide, including al-Qaida and the Taliban.
U.S. law enforcement officials say overseas branches of the group provided "hundreds of thousands of dollars" to Bin Laden in 1999. The Treasury Department also maintains the group was responsible for laundering money for the Palestinian territories to support terrorist activities.
Sources say the group has been used by terror-supporting states, including Sudan, to spread radical Islam.

He enthusiastically lectured to Muslim student groups at the University of Missouri on behalf of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), an organization based primarily in Dallas and Chicago and cofounded by Musa Abu Marzook. In a recent federal-court decision, a judge concluded that IAP has "distribute[d] information on behalf of Hamas" and, in a variety of other ways, "has acted in support of Hamas." While in Detroit, Khaleel collected advertising money for an IAP publication and shared common residential addresses in Detroit with both Ahmed Abu Marzook and, separately, another Palestinian associate of Uncle Musa: Mohammed Abu Dayyeh. And, of course, Khaleel happily administered the Hamas Internet domain for Marzook and his assorted henchmen..."
Amen, I believe almost every Mosque in this country has ties to terrorism... Just like every religion, they want their particular beliefs to be spread around the globe. The problem is their way of doing so is through terrorism carried out by the most extreme fringes of their faith. Until the less radical followers of Islam step up and do something about the radical leaders of their religion, this conflict will never end
Once the menace of Kerry is behind us, we need to rally to get out government to stop importing the menace of Islam into our homeland.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ An investigation of a Missouri-based group accused of aiding terrorists has involved almost half the FBI's domestic field offices, a spokesman said.
The FBI office in Kansas City asked 26 of the bureau's 56 field offices to interview from 80 to 90 people as part of the investigation into the Islamic African Relief Agency-USA, FBI spokesman Jeff Lanza said Friday.
