Mystery Surrounds Kerry's Navy Discharge
BY THOMAS LIPSCOMB - Special to the Sun October 13, 2004
An official Navy document on Senator Kerry's campaign Web site listed as Mr. Kerry's "Honorable Discharge from the Reserves" opens a door on a well kept secret about his military service.
The document is a form cover letter in the name of the Carter administration's secretary of the Navy, W. Graham Claytor. It describes Mr. Kerry's discharge as being subsequent to the review of "a board of officers." This in it self is unusual. There is nothing about an ordinary honorable discharge action in the Navy that requires a review by a board of officers.
According to the secretary of the Navy's document, the "authority of reference" this board was using in considering Mr. Kerry's record was "Title 10, U.S. Code Section 1162 and 1163. "This section refers to the grounds for involuntary separation from the service. What was being reviewed, then, was Mr. Kerry's involuntary separation from the service. And it couldn't have been an honorable discharge, or there would have been no point in any review at all. The review was likely held to improve Mr. Kerry's status of discharge from a less than honorable discharge to an honorable discharge.
A Kerry campaign spokesman, David Wade, was asked whether Mr. Kerry had ever been a victim of an attempt to deny him an honorable discharge. There has been no response to that inquiry.

Not if they can help it. But it's been reported here at least a dozen times. :~ )
make it a dozen more! when are we seeing his discharge papers?
The media is so quick to talk about the Bush military controversy(AWOL), but they immediately bury the Kerry debacle.
I'm still waiting for the AP to press for Kerry's records. They were so quick to hire attorney's in order to press for Bush's.
"I'm still waiting for the AP to press for Kerry's records"
I hope you're sitting in a comfortable chair...............
I agree with bitt, post it until it makes it to the mainstream. On a related topic, I'm wondering why the MSM isn't asking JK why the only discharge posted on his site is the one from the reserves so he could get his commission. Nevermind, not wondering anymore.

like the '5 second rule', doesn't FR have a 24hour rule giving leeway for same posts, to allow for a new multitude to be able to view it? Seems we waste more bandwidth complaining about it than merely re-directing to former posts (if you felt like it), to further the post's expansion of comments and updated info...
I agree condor51,
But, IMO we have to keep posting anything relating to this as the MSM is doing nothing., we have to keep it alive. It seems like everyone is afraid to touch it......That is why i beleive the Rathergate issue was placed by the Kerry people on purpose, to scare the rest of media from touch issues like this.
Keep it AlIVE...email everyone you know.
It's sad we have to wait for maybe Sean to get the news to the MSM....! But anyway is better than no way....
If there is something here no doubt it is being dug up.....If it is found that Kerry was not Honorably Discharged it blows the whole Bush AWOL-Swiftie drama of the last two months....
Here is the October Surprise!
No mystery...he's a dufus......
Must be posted often so more people will see it.
Oh, before I forget, </sarcasm>
