I took my buddy. We are both Pro-Bush Democrats. The atmosphere was really festive..alnmost electric, kinda like a college foorball game... It was great!!!

Everybody started doing the "FOUR MORE" cheer and we all really got into it...

Then my buddy pointed out that they were shouting "four more YEARS". We thought they were shouting "FOUR MORE BEERS"... well... we hung in anyway and had a really good time at the pub afterwards

Sounds great! I'd love to attend one.

I'm a former Dem - I made the jump so I could vote in the 2000 primaries. Whenever anyone asks me how I could *possibly* vote for an (R), I say that the Democrat party no longer represents anything I believe in, and that they act in such a dishonorable way I could never support them.

I can only speak for my area... and nobody... and I mean NOBODY, likes Kerry. Those voting against Bush are driven by rage. Not hate, it is beyond hate . It is blind rage. I haven't seen anything like it.

I am still a Dem, just don't like changes... but the Dems have left me high and dry... a fine party ... the OLDEST POLITICAL PARTY IN THE WORLD, taken over by Teachers Unions, Trail Lawyers, Pro Abortionists, and others..... SO SO SAD! I feel I have to become a Republican

"I'd guess 40K.."

My folks are from Ohio (yes, they are voting for Bush) and reported to me about sKerry's rally in Elyria. They told me the local news was bragging about sKerry's mammoth crowd, which numbered...7500. That's in the socialist Northeast Ohio area. If Bush drew 40k to JK's 7.5K in the same general area (Elyria is about 90 miles from Akron), then I can say Bush will carry Ohio. The polls are not legit, they are meant to give the illusion of a close race for a variety of objectives (ratings, motivate Dems and depress GOPers). The behavior of the people is far more indicative of the state of the race, and based on these reports, it's not even close.

Peace out !! 40,000 at this rally, 50,000 at another rally in Ohio about a week and a half ago. The GOP has the best ground game on the ground in Ohio than any state in the Union. Bush will carry Ohio.

BTW, he needs to go to NJ; it's in play. If we carry NJ and Wisconsin (two states Gore carried in 2000) we'll be in great shape. We have a chance to also take New Mexico, Minnesota, Iowa, and Pennsylvania from the Dem column to the GOP column. I look for a big win for The Prez but we can't relax.

JUST SO WE'RE ALL CLEAR -- THE PRESIDENT CAMPAIGNED IN IOWA AND WISCONSIN TODAY!

HE WAS NOT IN AKRON OR ANY WHERE ELSE IN OHIO!

I'm hoping this is a semi-lame attempt at humor vs. a zot attack!

Hi Mikey,

I know what you mean. It feels funny at first after so long.

I try to remember what Tammy Bruce (pro-gun, pro-choice, Reagan-voting, W-voting, lesbian "classical liberal") says: "It's not WHO'S right, it's WHAT'S right."

If you haven't read her book, "The New Thought Police" yet, I highly recommend it. It's about the tyranny of the New Left, and how her "classical liberal" values really equates to modern conservative values.

In this case, I think this refers to the party label.

Great thread, thanks!

best...

I've been busy for the last 2 months, sometime during that time some crazy rule about being able to vote anywhere in the state of Ohio came about, could someone point to a good FR discussion thread on the subject?
