I hope this is good
I think it more likely that he had some not-so-aboveboard-dealings on the POW/MIA commission when they were over in Vietnam. It wouldn't be the first time that POW/MIAs have been sold down the river for political expediency.
If an extant papertrail exists, and they can corroborated, he'd take a severe, though not fatal (as most of his far-left base wouldn't care anyway) hit and possible drop a couple points in the polls.
Well, it is my firm hope that this is truly as explosive as Navy Vet thinks.
If it is, it WILL get play in the mainstream press. There is a lot of negativity here that they will cover up everything, but there comes a point that even the MSM will cover a story.
If it is as big as Navy Vet thinks, it will get covered because some stories are just too good and too huge to ignore no matter what your bias.
Heck, I know I would run with a story about Bush getting dishonorably discharged if that were found to be the case even though I know it would doom his candidacy. The lefty reporters are the same way. They only cover up so much before they have to cover the story.
Nothing on this yet. They're going nuts over Sinclair. One DUmmy even made a $1000 bet with a coworker that Kerry would win.
I just ate some homemade fettucine. My stomach may need some chamomile.
I disagree. This would be like the Monica Lewinsky story . No matter how much the MSM love Kerry they could not possibly ignore a discharge that was less than honorable. Enough media would pick it up and it is such a HUGE story they would be forced to look into it. No doubt they would keep insisting that a General Discharge was still honorable, but that wouldn't matter to most voters. All they would know is their potential commander in chief got a less than honorable discharge. I'm still not convinced this story is true anyway. It's an extremely hard thing to cover up.
THE SUSPENCE IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!
I hope and prayer you're right. The lefty media has a way of burying things this important. I barely hear anything about the forged memos anymore unless i'm reading here.
That fettucine is killing me!!! Whoooo lotsa Gahlic!!!
For a Navy officer, the only way a Bad Conduct or Dishonorable discharge is awarded is for the officer to have been convicted at a General Court Martial (which is convened by a Flag or General Officer, much like you saw in "A Few Good Men").
A conviction at a General Court Martial carries the weight of, and is in fact, a felony conviction. I doubt that Kerry was walking around with that until 1978 or 2001, as he would've been found out long before now.
Like I said, it's not inconceivable that he could've been awarded a General discharge, and that it was mailed to him upon fulfillment of his Individual Ready Reserve commitment, and he never got around to having it upgraded by the Board of Corrections of Naval Records (BCNR) until much later in his budding career.
Whatever it is, I can see a messed up day for Kerry! LOL!
Earle Grey for an upset tummy. (I'm straying off topic...)
Hey, watch the tagline.
We've had dead typing on this forum for years ;)
Thanks. I'm drinking a Cherry coke right now, but Earl Grey sounds good!
Exactly right--the MSM spiked the Monica Lewinski story.
A disgruntled reported gave it to a struggling Matt Drudge who ran it.
That makes the most sense since that is where Navy Vet has his expertise.
Why no SIRENS at Drudge? Are they asleep over there?
more likely it is a general discharge. The challenge will be to explain it. If Kerry follows past actions, he has probably told almost none of his top staff. My guess is possibly even Teresa doesn't know. You can bet Teddy K doesn, and he is going to be the chief strategist on how to deal with this...it would also explain why Clinton, who right after his heart surgery was going to be back on the trail in days, now can't get back on the campaign trail for Kerry before the election. No one wants to help organize deck chairs on the Titanic...
