Let your local newspaper know what you think of their endorsement for Kerry. Massive cancellations would rock them across the country.

If you don't live where you can get it, you can always get an online subscription. Costs $8/month.

Or tell them you have a master key to the paper machine and hand it out for free.

I would love to send this message to our newspaper now, but we cancelled our subscription to the Austin Statesman over 4 years ago. Every now and then we'll get a free one on our driveway. After reading it, our decision to cancel is always confirmed.
To: Jet Jaguar
Has The Republic endorsed either Kerry or Bush yet? I've been too busy to keep up with my subscription.

Great Idea -- I agree with you Ron...if my paper endorses Kerry - I will do as you suggest....cancel right there and then and demand a refund for the unused balance of my years subscription. Somehow, I doubt the Fort Worth Paper will be so stupid - but you never know!!! They do have Molly Ivans as one of their editorial columnists - that right there should be enough to avoid it like the plague!

Let your local newspaper know that you think John Edwards is a girl. March up to the local printing office for your home town newspaper and drop some womens underwear on the front steps. I'll have to remember that one.
"But honey, I know those aren't your underwear. They're here for a ... political protest! Yeah, that's it!

I got to vent at the poor schlep who called me to subscribe to the LA SLIMES today. I told him I knew he was just doing his job, but if they didn't remove my phone number from their date base I would report them to the AG's Consumer Office.
To: ChocChipCookie
I have not heard of an endorsement yet. But, I have a very strong feeling they will endorse Kerry.

Oh, PS, I also tell them I get their Sports page (still good) on line for free and it's worth every penny.
To: Froggie
Tell them you will use the money to support your local GOP.

I can tell you this about the AZ Republic, their July 4th, 2004 issue had no mention whatsoever it was Independence Day.

Ok, maybe that wasn't such a good proposal. Tell you what. What if everybody protested Kerry's waffling by throwing a box of eggos onto the front steps of their local newspaper? That would send a clear message!

I heard that the Oregonian came out today and endorsed Kerry. I don't get the liberal rag anymore, and haven't yet been able to verify this. Does anyone know for sure. They will be getting a scathing editorial response from me if they do, citing Kerry's record!
To: Flamenco Lady
I was able to verify on another thread that the Oregonian did endorse Kerry today. Here is the email address to send them letters to the
editor:letters@news.oregonian.com
Hopefully, all Oregon Freepers can send them an editorial comment full of all the reasons not to vote for Kerry based on his record, and all the reasons people should vote for President Bush.
To: Ron in Acreage
I have always paid for my newspaper with semi-annually or annually. This year I've been paying 3 months at a time. When I made my latest payment I wrote on the form that I didn't want to be paid ahead just in case the liberal editorial board endorsed Kerry. I figure anyone who is dumb enough to carry Molly Ivins will be dumb enough to endorse an idiot!

I'm a quiet fellow and never mean to offend, but lately I tell the terrorist appeasers that I'm simply not interested in their wares. Some true believer came to my doorstep the other day, promoting some alternate lifestyle advocate to a political post. I told her that I had no truck with Birkenstockers, but wished her well. I can't believe that the anointed still try to offer up such vile goods. You would think that they would at least try to hide who they are, like the gimmiecrat Presidential candidates!
