Kerry: "...And looking around here, at this group here, I suspect there are only three people here who are going to be affected: the president, me, and, Charlie, I'm sorry, you too."
Kerry speaking in last evening's debate about his plan to raise taxes on people making 200k+ annually. So now John Kerry is prejudging people by just looking at them to determine their income?!? He decided that the only people in the room that qualified as his new tax-hike victims were himself, Bush and Charlie Gibson! Wow, a big criticism many liberals have of Bush is his supposed "arrogance", there was simply nothing more arrogant and ignorant than that statement that Kerry made and it will probably haunt his campaign...
Kerry demonstrated his smug disdain for the 'little people' with that comment. He lost MANY undecideds with his arrogant snobbish tone and demeanor. The more Kerry gets televised, the better George W. Bush looks! Can we get MAXIMUM Kerry TV coverage for the next 22 days?
Hey when you're a gigolo, every woman who lives on a mortal income is lesser breed of female.
I saw halprins disgusting comments last evening
He needs to be fired. Now.
Kerry's comment went right to the heart of who he is -a snob.
Too bad debate footage can't be used in ads.
Liberals have been getting away with this for years. They put together programs to keep the poor and minorities helpless and dependent, yet still allow the limousine libs to feel as though they are "helping" the worthless bottom-dwellers.
You will certainly find these people in Los Angeles, even those who give $$$$ to charities yet hire live-in illegals for slave wages to do all the jobs "snobs won't do" like scrub toilets and put kids to bed.
And does Kerry's $200,000 refer to husband and wife filing jointly, or for individual income?
Y'know, I clean up pretty well and if I'd been in the audience and made the effort, he couldn't have told how much I make.
He's an elitist jerk.
Or "off the rack" at Brooks Brothers...
Unless, of course, he's assuming that anyone who's smart enough to be making over $200k couldn't possibly be undecided at this point, but I doubt that's what he really meant.
Considering the vast number of double-income households and small businesses, Kerry is dangerously clueless if that's what he really believes!
I think he was right in his assessment of the group. The audience was undecided, but if you make over 200k, you already know who you are going to vote for.
There are lots of millionaires wearing cheap clothes. David Boies is another example. All his suits come from Target.
No it would not make a difference because the Kerry proposal to roll back the tax cut is not for individuals that make over $200,000 but FAMILIES that make over $200,000. Kerry has an odd sense of what makes a person "rich".
Did by chance Gallup tell Kerry and the Pres. the financial profiles of the people in the audience ? If not( I doubt they did)couldn't we get someone in the media to find out if there were any wealthy people in the audience ?
It cant?
That is a shame. Fox is brushing on this topic on "bulls and Bears" now
I did learn a lot about Kerry last night in the debates:
He thinks the military is over extended and suffering a back door draft. He'll fix it by bringing in 40,000 new troops. (Huh? Where's he going to get them if they're already overextended?)
He's going to raise taxes on those making over $200,000, but he's not going to raise taxes on anyone. (Huh?)
He's very upset over the deficit and government spending, but he's going to create a billion dollar government health care system and up the funds to the teachers unions. (Huh?)
He says he has a "plan." He still has no idea what it is, but he says he has one anyway.
Gee, does anybody in Missouri make more than $100,000?
Exactly. That's why his social engineering only sounds good on paper. People smart and industrious enough to be successful aren't going to play fools, roll over and work harder for less.
Atlas will shrug.
Maybe Kerry shoukd take a good look at his Megabuckd Mama. Her clothes look terrible on her and are always wrinkled. White does not look good an her. Can't tell by looking at her that she has money at all.
Retracting claws now. Meow.
Yeah, who (by looking at him) would think that Michael Moore makes over $200 per year?
I noticed that too. It was insulting to the audience, or should have been. Those who will vote for Kerry probably feel it is the right of government to talk down to them since it is their religion.
