How long has it been around?
There's some trader moving around his 5 share bid ($2.50 total) back and forth.
Those people selling at 51-52 are already getting burned. Market rallying strong for GWB.
they can be manipulated in the short term like any market.. but in general I'd take a market's prediction, with money at stake, over any pudit's prognostication.
That was the whole idea behind that pentagon futures market for terror attacks and such.. that they had to pull the plug on..
bush last trade 57.2 up 5 in last hour what a relief
Bush is heading back up on tradegeeks, er, tradesport.com
>>I don't consider a few thou real money.<<
Then you need to hire me.
You WILL get real work for your unreal money.
I watched at least 2K contract move.
Hey....I think I just figured this out...look at the KERRY trade line...NO ONE is selling and NO ONE is buying. There is only one Ask and one bid on the board, while Bush's are cranking. If it were due to the results of the debate, it would be flying in both directions. I'm not a judge, but I think that is fairly conclusive evidence that this is rigged....and that some loyal Bush people are making a chunk of change tonight at the expense of Soros's thugs.
Certainly a time to buy if you have loose change. This is going to rocket up soon. IMHO.
Can you spare any amount of that non-real money right now? Send a private reply!!
"Those people selling at 51-52 are already getting burned. Market rallying strong for GWB."
Yeah, but it's not back to where it was. Right now, the book strength is a 55 bid and 58 ask, both below almost all of today's pre-debate trading.
nix that...I only saw one because I hit the single trade button. It's late. : (
56 bid now...
"but I think that is fairly conclusive evidence that this is rigged....and that some loyal Bush people are making a chunk of change tonight at the expense of Soros's thugs"
Folks, it was a no brainer even before such evidence. And i don't mean to insult any of you, truly. But Kerry didn'g take the lead with a convincing (perhaps?) victory last go around. He sure isn't going to take the election after teh Prez. just went better than toe-to-toe on domestic issues and bolstered his arguments on Iraq. If I had money, I would put it on Bush without hesitation. In fact you folks with money may wish to invest in the Iraqi denari as the election will bring long term stability there and it's currency will rise. IMO.
I learned years ago as a commodity options trader that there is one overriding axiom in this sort of thing - " You can't fool the market " - i.e. even if someone is short telling to try to start panic selling, the collective wisdom and information of ALL the traders in that commodity will eventually prevail. The relatively small 'open interest' or number of contracts being traded is what makes it possible for one trader to cause a sharp rise or fall in a short period, thereby causing a panic- My guess is that GW will be trading in the 60 range by the first of the week after the dust settles and all the pundits realize that Kerry didn't win this one the way they were hoping

I agree. Bush was on his game. This is planned--like the online polls. Let's see what happens five days from now.
Bush clearly won the debate. What is George Soros up too this time? Enough of the ego maniac manipulating the markets and this presidential race!
I understand the electoral college. I also understand it is more important than ever to keep it as urban centers are becoming more and more democrat with the influx of new voters. Tradesports is just one segment of society. I'm not worried about what these people think. I'm looking towards election day.
