Yep, that was a very unfair thing to do. It was one of the only questions I thought was not a good one. And to put it right at the end.

I also saw a shot of Kerry and Gibson yukking it up after. Bush handled it very well.

Did you notice, also, that the people surrounding the President and Laura after looked much, much happier than those around Kerry, who was still pontificating??? I don't think I'll ever watch MSM again. NOt that I have been, but this and Danny boy clinched it for me.

I agree with the analyst who states that Kerry has reached his polling apex! [Besides, all of the pollsters have now converted their weighting formulas to some variation of the 39-35-26 (D-R-I) schemata, so we shouldn't see any more 'wild swings' in the polls!]

Prediction: The race will remain static (slight movement up/down within MOE) for a week or so -- high gas prices and the 'jobs' spin need some time to 'work out' of the polling system!

. . . However, the home stretch will belong to the President -- quite simply, he's a PHENOMENAL campaigner who has RIGHT on his side!!!

YES he does, and he lost big time, Kerry was on the defensive all night and his answers were all over the place. In contrast, President Bush answered his questions directly and forcefully. Tonight marks the end of Flipper

I also thought it was very disrespectful of Charlie to keep trying to talk over the President. I was very proud of the Preisdent for not giving in, to insist on having his say. IMO he made a very big point there, as in "don't mess with Texas."

**I loved when Dubya jumped up and said, "I have to answer him." And he got his way**

He certainly had fire in his belly tonight

It was a much bigger deal than he (Kerry) realized, I think. For pro-life people, that is a HUGE deal, perhaps a deal breaker. The President took the question very seriously. I think that scored him a lot of points, along with the stem-cell question (which I loved how it was asked, BTW)

***Yes, Flipper's answer to the Abortion question was beyond bazaar, it was incomprehensible***

I hate it every time Kerry says he's a Catholic because I'm a Catholic and I know that his answer is sacrilegious to my church. I was screaming, "You ARE NOT a Catholic." He wants it both ways. Another way of flip flopping.

You and me both -- I actually 'wore down' the beads on my rosary!

. . . and, yes, the President was his energetic, inspiring, loving self tonight!!!

I almost forgot--

As the debate started I was so nervous I had to do something, so my kids and I shot rubber bands at Kerry. :-)

Then all of the sudden my daughter noticed, "kerry is wearing lipstick . . . and eyeshadow!" He did look terrible, and when the Pres. was talking got that silly smile on his face.

That last question was defintely a Dem plant slam against the President.......and it was designed to give Kerry the opportunity to again claim that Iraq was a mistake!

GWB answered that question very well.

Bush won the debate tonight but the MSM is, as expected, claiming a Kerry win. However, I believe that Bush won because he connected with the people. He had a zest & fighting spirit tonight!

He answered every question and he exposed Kerry's record & the corrupt food for oil program which proved the scanctions were not working.

Bush did better than expected....Kerry worse than expected!

Thanks be to God!
