O"Reilly Wants President Bush to Apologize Friday Night
Me
Posted on 10/07/2004 10:41:05 AM PDT by JonDavid
Bill O'Reilly suggested today on his radio show that President Bush should apologize at the Presidential debate Friday for no Iraq WMD. If the President Bush did this in the way that O'Reilly wants him to, the President would be making a major gaffe. I could see the sound bites. President Bush has NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. Also, O'Reilly says that Bush has to clearly win Friday or its over. He keeps on saying that the race is tied. IMHO, O'Reilly is spinning on several fronts: At the very least he is trying to get Kerry on his show, so he is pandering. The Electoral College Polls shows the President with a sizable lead. National Polls mean little. O'Reilly knows if the President says I am sorry for Iraq it would be political suicide. Again, think of the soundbite the Democrats would have. This would help Kerry. The President on Friday night needs to address Kerrys record and recent Global Test statements. So why OReilly on his radio program the day before the Presidential debates is highlighting the Iraq WMD instead of focusing on Kerrys record? He is doing this because thats the only hope Kerry has. If OReilly was really a no spinner and WAS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU he would have STRESSED SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE and endorsed President Bush after Kerrys Global Test and other policy statements after the last debate. So deep down, O'Reilly is rooting for Kerry. The latest Iraq WMD report clearly shows t that Saddams endgame was to get the Sanctions lifted and then restart his WMD programs. According to the report, SADDAM WANTED NUCLEAR WEAPONS!! Its the intent. Thats why Saddam had to be removed form power. I also, believe that the WMD were moved into other countries, like Syria.

I watched Bill O'Reilly's "No Spin Zone" two times - both last night.
My first and my last.

Quoting someone who is as schizo as O'Reilly is about as useful as quoting . . . sKerry.

BORe has used up all his credibility. NO APOLOGY. Not now, not ever. Bush did nothing wrong.

If the President should apologize for relying on wrong intelligence reports, then so should all the Senators, including Kerry and Kennedy, who voted, in 1998, for regime change in Iraq, as well as Bill Clinton and his entire cabinet who sought congressional recognition for that policy. And, all of the same cast of Democrat characters who supported the congressional authorization, in 1992, for the President to remove Saddam. It is interesting that O'Reilly is so limited and selective in his
request. It is probably part of the price he will pay to get an interview with Kerry. He will then tell us how he will ask Kerry all the tough questions and demand straight answers. Somehow, as in the past, he will manage to ask less than tough questions and then let the good senator skate. After all, Kerry has played ice hockey. And, above all, one could describe O.Reilly as a real puck.

I think he's gunning for Rather's job. Maybe, or someone a bit higher up?
I was thinking along the lines of a God-complex.

"BUSH SHOULD SAY HE'S SORRY HE DIDN'T BELIEVE SADDAM!" O'Reilly's a troll. He's always been one. He's stupid enough to fill Dan's job at CBS- and he knows it.

O'Reilly can go pound sand. And, while he's at it, he should take some lessons in humility. What a pompous self-important windbag. He goes from bad to worse.
