Bernard Herrmann was born to write music for Susan Estrich.
Well, he DID almost score The Exorcist, after all...and he did score It's Alive!

Well, you're either for capitalism or you're agin it. The socialists always have such a disconnect you would think they would give themselves a black eye just trying to strum their guitar or getting too close to the mike.

Miami is outside of the areas affected by the hurricane. It's laughable to see them blame low ticket sales on it. One of the things people in a hurricane affected area want that you didn't mention is a return to normal life. A concert would sell tickets better under these circumstances, provided it was something people wanted to see.

I don't know if this is the same concert series - with Dave Matthews also? Anyway, my son who is at UF in Gainesville said that only
US Citizens of voting age will be allowed in the concert. A friend of his who is not a US citizen tried to get tickets and was turned away. Apparently they couldn't find enough "citizens" to attend in Miami! lol!
Too bad they aren't this stringent when registering voters.

Miami is outside of the areas affected by the hurricane. South Florida has been hit by both Charlie and Francis. My son and I had been scheduled for 3 weeks work in that area but it has been postponed indefinitely due to the storms. Here in NW Florida no one has any interests in concerts but people are offering bounties for insurance claims adjusters. It's all a matter of priorities.

Here's the beautiful thing. JCM lives about 30 miles from me, here in Indiana. Indiana is overwhelmingly Republican and every electoral vote here will go to Bush. JCM's vote for Kerry won't count!

They should have had Tony Bennett perform in that area. I'm surpised that Tony isn't touring with Melloncramps and Spring-en-stien

I guess they didn't want to hear him whine "Small town" a couple hundred times. Understandable. South Beach might have been the place for his "Pink Houses" schtick.

Let the old punk stay in Miami, he's no longer welcome in Indiana (He was booed off stage in Indy a couple of months ago).
I no longer support Johnny Cougar.
