Edwards is rambling on and on about Cheney's daughter and gay marriage and hospital visits - the man is making no sense at all. Like, is there a point? Ifill was great - "Are you and Senator Kerry trying to have it both ways?" - precisely right.

That is a bunch of bull. All they have to do is get a power of attorney and it gives the other partner all the authority they need for to make arrangements of any type. NO one is stopped from visiting any one in the hospital. They may limit your time due to the patient's health, but no one is denied visitation. Wills take care of any other problems that might need taking care of. I'm only HS educated and I know that much.
This from a lawyer who should know these things..he's dumb as a box of rocks.
