That is a bunch of bull. All they have to do is get a power of attorney and it gives the other partner all the authority they need for to make arrangements of any type. NO one is stopped from visiting any one in the hospital. They may limit your time due to the patient's health, but no one is denied visitation. Wills take care of any other problems that might need taking care of. I'm only HS educated and I know that much.

This from a lawyer who should know these things..he's dumb as a box of rocks.

I spoke to my neighbors about this issue once..they happen to be lesbian. They sought legal advice and have everything very neatly cared for if one is in ICU, or needs to care for property, etc. They said a marriage certificate is not necessary in their situation.

Oh...btw...they're voting for Bush/Cheney...2nd time. :o)
