Kerry just shook hands with Bush, so there should be nothing in his right hand.Interesting. There does seem to be something in the right hand, though, don't you think?

"I think it was tissue in anticipation of sweating." You're claiming Kerry took out the 'tissue' before he needed it, and then never used it? I bet you don't really think that.
Kerry took out some file cards or folded paper, or a palm pilot. He took the object very quickly from his jacket pocket and placed it down on the podium and began to open it, or unfold it, or spread them out a bit. The object was handled gingerly, was probably either beige or white, and did not bend or fold as he handled it/them.

Does Kerry have hearing problems? The person posting that claimed he did not.
We need to find out.

It's an old & childish tactic to squeeze your opponents hand too hard & long
but also important when people are taking pictures...and you are 5 inches taller....

Interesting. There does seem to be something in the right hand, though, don't you think?
Looks like there is something in his right hand. From when he shakes hands with Pres. Bush, there are a couple of seconds his right hand is not visible in cspan.

I could tell he took a piece of paper out of his pocket, unfolded it and smoothed it out. Appeared to me that he consulted the paper too during the first question being asked. To be that smooth he had to know the questions in advance.

He obviously was not standing there with just his DICK in his hand, as Santino Corleone would put it...

Has any other media source other than Drudge picked up this story? Will they?

I can't help but think from the comments on his right hand that Kerry possibly gave the president something to make him less than 100%. Tinfoil or not, Kerry is not above doing something like that, nor is the DNC.

"I wonder how many high school civics classes had watching the debate as a homework assignment for class discussion the following day."
...mine for one...will have to wait a few days, but will be interested to see how this develops...believe me, if it does, my class will watch the tape...

I agree - I wear one myself- However we have seen numerous news articles regarding kerry's health - quotes from his doctors,re cancer, etc - not one mention of a hearing problem ??
If he had a hearing problem requiring amplification it certainly would have come out long ago---!!

According to Drudge, Kerry campaign is claiming it was a pen. It clearly was not a pen.If they Kerry camp made that claim, then they have been caught. The original high-resolution recording at FOX will show it to be what it really is, and it will not be a pen.

My 6th grader had to watch it for social studies homework. He also wrote a very nice synopsis of the debate, afterward :)

"It's probably a handkerchief or tissue. The last thing they want is to sweat like a pig up there. " I don't think so....
Wiping ones face under TV lighting would guarantee the make up would run with disastrous consequences.

I think I've solved it...it was a stun gun. GW got stuned by a beeber in JFK's right hand.

That was the most convincing piece of evidence I have seen thus far. He unfolded something. Now we need to go back and look at how many times he looked down at it during the debate. I guess it was when he was pretending to take notes.
