In answer to your question: No, Kerry didn't cheat in the debates in the Yale Political Union. However, we were all allowed to take to the lectern whatever documents or books we required.

But he was, then, just as arrogant and full of himself as he is now. And he always sought to spend his time and energy with people known to have either more money, more social status, or both, than he had. That is the Kerry Constant.

I saw the video and I have to ask this question, it has nothing to do with CheatSheetgate.....did the crowd give skERRY a standing 0 in that particular frame shot? He was acting like the O was for him and W looked kinda ticked. I thought the crowd was going to be equally divided for each candidate? SOMEONE in W camp blew it BIG TIME! It sounded like there were more RATS than pubs there!

Hankerchiefs aren't stiff as a board.

Even if it was that, it would still be breaking the rules.

According to Drudge, Kerry campaign is claiming it was a pen. It clearly was not a pen.

Please take away the picture in my head of the "something in his right hand" and "stiff as a board"!

Sorry. It's late.

This was not a standing O for Kerry, it was the introduction of both candidates, but Kerry has a tendency to treat such incidents as if everybody is cheering him. It's really cheezy. The worst exhibit was when he (Kerry) spoke at the National Guard. They were giving him the cold shoulder and he needed an applause line so he said "Let's give our troops a hand" and when people clapped he stood there and quietly said into the microphone, "thank you, thank you" as if the people were applauding him.

"'All of these, and especially homeland security, which we'll talk about a little bit later.'

How does he know what is coming up later in the debate unless he had a list of questions prior to the event????!!!" "

Because the debate was billed as covering "foreign policy" and "homeland security"

It is because Quicktime, much like AOL, SUCKS.

Quicktime is by far the worst plugin for video and takes forever to load up clips.

And that is if you are lucky to get it to work after installing it.

...to my mind, Bush should just flat out say "... if he wins, I'll have our troops home by January 20. 2005."

Sharp. But I don't know how it would sit with voters.CNN et.al. would be all over it. Might backfire.

I'll ask another question, since I don't have a son.

sKerry doesn't care. He'll take your daughter. Did the media notice that only one candidate promised not to draft? Stack all that against Rangel's proposal and 'suggestions' from the Dims for 'national service.' This is a set up, and I'll bet my hat, ass and overcoat they'll induct every kid in the country in some courvee. Very French. They'll blame it on the Republicans, of course.

It was very blurred. In any case Kerry's breaking the rules would be ignored by the mainstream media. They did the same for Clinton when he got into trouble. Don't look for any help from that quarter.

Why did Kerry cheat since he is a "fine debater"? Why did Nixon's Attorney General and all the others engage in the Watergate break-in, when they were about to crush McGovern in the election.

Arrogance does not obey logical rules. Arrogant people are self-destructive, and often they share that destruction with those around them. Witness the Clintons (him and her).

WATCH when Kerry gets to the podium!!! (A few seconds AFTER the pocket-reach.)
There's even a BETTER VIEW of the thing he pulled out of his pocket. He looks down at it.

THIS VIDEO IS A MUST-SEE!!
