WASHINGTON (AP) -- In the presidential campaign's closing weeks, Democrats are bracing for an "October Surprise," an event so dramatic it could influence the election's outcome. The capture of Osama bin Laden, for instance.
It's part of American political lore: the party out of power worries about a last-minute surprise engineered by the party in power. Now that October has arrived and the election is just a month away, speculation is rife among Democrats that President Bush and political mastermind Karl Rove have some tricks up their sleeves.
"I assume that it will be something," said House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California. "We have to be ready for that."

"I hope they find the weapons of mass destruction so we can shut up the entire democrat party. The silence will be golden. Just think what that would do to the kerry campaign."
If there is a surprise coming, I think this is it. When O'Reilly asked Bush what happened to the WMD, he was very quick to say he didn't know - not that they're still looking or that they might still be found. I just can't believe that they haven't been able to determine where they went.

Some more voter fraud stuff coming out but that is not from Karl Rove
Two "ACT" employees have been convicted in SD but that is not a surprise and has already been out in MSM
I've heard a few other things but I have not verified them yet
What I have heard is that something has been under wraps for some time now
The suspense is killing the libs

I hope the Swift Boat Vets have the equivalent of a tactical nuke to drop about two weeks before election day. The DEMONcRAT Party has become as big - if not bigger - menace to our liberty than any goat-breathed terrorist.

"With the war in Iraq going badly..."
Journalists whose articles contain this kind of language are neither journalists or tacticians knowledgeable enough of military analysis to make such a statement of so-called "fact." This is a war; all wars go badly at some point...usually at many points. It is debatable whether, in the big picture, this war is "going badly." It really depends on your point of view, which is precisely what a journalist is supposed to leave out of his "reporting." President Bush did not promise this war would end in his first term; I believe he implied it would take 10 or more years. That's plenty of time for things to go "badly" as they often do in wartimes. The reporter should study postwar Germany.

October surprise:
Bush flies to Iraq and beats Saddam's A$$ until he admits to WMDs and tells Bush where they are hidden. Just kidding.

The ultimate October Surprise would be someone with the knowledge, proof, and guts would have a conversion on the road to Damascus. A Zell Miller with evidence.
To: Chaguito
Rove has said there are two October surprises.
I am hoping that one is that the WMD have been found, and that they can prove they were Saddam's (assuming that they were trucked out during the lead up to the war).
No idea about the second but it would be fun if they come out and say they have uncovered some remains at Torra Borra and confirmed through DNA analysis that they are that of OBL and he's been dead ever since we hit it! LOL
Another thought. Remember the girl from Kenya? Maybe that interview she supposedly made actually comes out.

NOTHING will change the minds of 40% (100% solid democapps) Not WMD, Not Capture of OBL, Not Kerry has Gay lover, Nothing will change thier minds... FACT.
It will still be a landslide..... BUSH 04!

Actually, I think they are preparing their own "October surprise" and putting out that they are worried about Bush's October surprise is just to distract from their own devious, dastardly plans.Amen.
