Democrats Fear 'October Surprise'

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In the presidential campaign's closing weeks, Democrats are bracing for an "October Surprise," an event so dramatic it could influence the election's outcome. The capture of Osama bin Laden, for instance.

It's part of American political lore: the party out of power worries about a last-minute surprise engineered by the party in power. Now that October has arrived and the election is just a month away, speculation is rife among Democrats that President Bush and political mastermind Karl Rove have some tricks up their sleeves.

"I assume that it will be something," said House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California. "We have to be ready for that."

Actually, I think they are preparing their own "October surprise" and putting out that they are worried about Bush's October surprise is just to distract from their own devious, dastardly plans.
Thank you. Exactly. It's called "projection" and with the 'rats it's a given.

I loved this pantload, too:

Lore? Worries? Bush's DUI charges and Ah-nold's wandering hands, anyone? I oughta write a letter!

*snore*

Larry Flynt is up to something!

Larry Flynt is planning to put out the same thing he tried to get out in 2000: George Bush took his girlfriend to get an abortion. He was unable to get it taken seriously because he has no proof. Now that he knows to use a typewriter instead of MS Word, he may be able to "find" some proof.

"What could possibly happen after such a stellar showing by your man Kerry in the debates?"

Indictments or crimminal investigations of People connected to the Kerry campaign might be a good place to start.

I hope we find Osama in some cave cowering next to a mound of artillery shells filled with VX gas that are stamped 'product of Iraq'......I can dream can't I?

Was there an October surprise in 2000? I sure don't remember one.

Of course - the Bush drunk driving revelation. It nearly cost him the election.

The 30-year-old DUI comes to mind.

If President Bush and Karl Rove have an October surprise, how about indicting George Soros on Tax Evasion Charges. I wonder what the Zsa Zsa Gabor in Drag would say about that when the indictment occurs?

""I assume that it will be something," said House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California. "We have to be
ready for that."

Hilary was the one talking about an October surprise earlier this year and since Pelosi met with some Hamas leaders back in August I'm more concerned about Hilary's surprise.

George Soros has been attracting a fair ammount of media attention lately.

You're on the right track. The biggest October surprise will probably be generated by Al Qaeda or the Swift Boat Vets. The MSM underestimates the Swift Boat Vets, who are fierce warriors on a mission to defeat Kerry (and they have a lot of ammo to do it).

I think the details in Kerry's undisclosed military files will come out. Whether is be through his signing the 180 Form after enough pressure, or through a leak in the Pentagon. Kerry's past is too dark and the stakes are too high. If this thing looks to be close down the final stretch, I expect something dramatic to blow Kerry out of the water. The future of this country hangs in the balance and Bush must win.

Old news, even CBS won't run with it.

"Okay, everyone. If you could create an "October Surprise" for the Democrats. What would it be?
------I would have it "proven beyond a shadow of a doubt" that Rather and Kerry campaign cooperated in fabricating the National Guard documents in order to bring down the president."

Very good! But yours might be closer to truth than made up I fear.

MY "October Surprise"
1. Would be that Kerry was part of the Oil For Food Scandal- A go between or middle man.
2. Kerry leaked info to Saddam. He told him the date we would strike, and when and how to hide WMD.

It better not be through a leak from the Pentagon.......
