Steam cloud just spotted -- Noon PDT from Mount St. Helens
More when I get some news over news feeds
I think they are already getting bored :')
As far as I know, MSH has no glacier. It all melts each summer, in most years.
Rainier has glaciers.
I live in Portland. I hope it keeps erupting tomorrow. A buddy and myself are going to go hike up Silver Star mountain which is near the Columbia River Gorge, just south of St. Helens. Probably around 30 miles away. May be a good show!
Thanks for the update!
This is Don Morgan here. Do NOT attempt to involve the ASH in any coversation. He is a troll.....
Thing is they're used to the time scale of a hurricane.
If this goes on for three weeks poofing out a little phreatic eruption like today's once a day or every couple days, they'll be back to 24/7 coverage of the attractive murdered middle class white woman of the week and ignoring St. Helens.
'Ash Alerts' are an old joke here on FR and refers to a troll/poster of that name.

I read somewhere recently (sorry don't have link) that one has formed up over the past 20 years.
one of the scientists interviewed on CNN said the snowpack in the upper rim is a glacier now, has been forming for the last decade.
Yup. I've been watching the sensors on Hood, because it's easier to differentiate events and relative magnitudes.
Pretty quiet since about 12:08
ASH ALERT!!!!!!!!
what are your undies in such a knot, for? The guy just asked a question. You didn't have to blow your stack.
That cloud is headed directly for my house here in Eureka Ca and it's all your fault...
Nothing here yet! They're still on the debates.

Have they IDed the remains? I was hoping Teresa was right and they were the remains of OBL.
I know what you're thinking and that's not funny, Sheesh, kick a girl when she' down why don'tcha?
I didn't live in Boise at the time, but, I understand they even had some ash this far south. Lucky for us, we won't see that happen again.
