Kerry was better on style. Because of his inconsistencies, Bush was better on substance. It was a draw in my humble opinion.
I'm with you 100%. It would be a setback. I don't care to go through it, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.
Yah I heard when he bites his lip he whinnies.
LOL........learn who FREEPERS are first (we all usually say something or other, eventually, that gives away whether we are men or women),before taking someone on. :-)
his=kerry's
Overall:
The next debate, Bush will be a more polished, but Kerry gets to argue domestic issues. Call it a tie. The last debate, Bush improves more, and takes a marginal victory, making it a 1-1-1 final score... However, with Bush improving each debate, Kerry is losing momentum yet again, and that continues through Nov 2.
Cute reply, but a little too cute for a newbie.
And the President succeeded in framing Kerry as an indecisive person when what we need is decisive leadership ... nukes for Mullahs, global testing, and that wishy-washiness are the three biggies from the debate. The Bush team will handle the other incidentals, like the list of lies told by sKerry tonight, and the lack of ANY substance from sKerry on issues.
OK....ROFL!!!
Kerry has his own style , that's for sure.
It seemed like that little mis-speak..oh hell...LIE that JK told was simply laughed off by the media. Its as if they figure he must really be tired if he can't remember when he said something.
Why not start listing all of his lies...oh, yeah. "Media bias" and all that.
I like the sentiment, but the meter in lines 1 and 5 is attrocious. First line needs an extra syllable somewhere before "commie"; either "There ONCE was a..." or "There was a mad commie...". The last line is suitably anapestic but two feet (six syllables) too long; I don't see any good remedy unless you want to include a self-effacing jab about the meter: "If I am elected I must be respected; I'll do nought but talk and at actions I'll balk, so the terrorists will all be merry."
Not to be pedantic, but metrical problems are a pet peeve of mine.
You are truly an American hero, who not only puts his actions where his mouth is, you were and are a protecter of the American People. I salute you sir. You may say whatever you want on FR.....YOU'VE MORE THAN EARNED THAT RIGHT!!
Wow. Someone's "flertin'" with me? That never happens either. My alarm must be about to go off.
(I'm quite taken, but that is flattering. Thank you. LOL)
Actually,we have been in agreement,on more threads,of late, than at any previous time. :-)
LOL,LOL,LOL!
Because of 9/11 and Beslain (sp) that's why
We are in a war with monsters who kill children and do not have the luxary of getting the permission from the French to fight it.
It is not the economy, it is our survival that is at stake and the American people realize that.
Actually, my thirteen year old daughter made me feel better. For extra credit at school, she was to watch the debate and write a short report on who won, and why. She watched the debate with two of her classmates in a seperate room from me. My wife and I never talk about politics at home, so her report was not influenced by anything I said. Anyway, part of why she thought Bush won was, and I quote from her report "it seems like all John Kerry does is put down Bush, but George Bush never says anything negative about Kerry." She then says "Kerry always says that his plan if he wins is so much better than Bush's, but in my opinion, all Kerry says is negative things."
