Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
That should be "I" and it all depends on how old someone was, when "HAIR" was on Broadway,or when it was made into a "movie". LOL
The key in any campaign is staying on message!
Kerry will not be remembered for anything he did last night, but he will be remembered for a couple of sayings 'no need for tax cuts' 'global testing' these are the things people remember in the voting booth.
Dang! I thought I could get myself mixed up in a virtual love triangle! LOL
I'd have to say I'm a happily married, hetrosexual male, but I still like to flirt. :^)
That's entirely consistent with the fact that, in terms of who will win on Nov. 2, instant polls are showing no difference in the spread in Bush's favor indicating he will win.
IT'S STILL OVER.
You think the MSM would put out something that would hurt their candidate?
Get REAL!
I'm the grandson of a WWII vet and the son of a 'nam vet.
I said old as me, I'm 50! I ain't old!
Thanks for the humor break.
You're certainly welcome, we were glad to do it!
May I ask where in Europe you are from?
I am from TN!
Swing voters can smell insincerity right through the tube.
If your definition of of "win" is who increased their chances of winning in November then President Bush won.
- There is one less debate opportunity for Kerry to use to close the gap.
- The key phrase coming out of this debate is "Global Test".
- And at the same President Bush lowered expectations for the next two debates making it much easier for him to be preceived as the winner.
Exactly so! And though smoother than the president,in debate style,Kerry is NO Slick Willie.
Get REAL!
My mistake. It's one of those slip-ups that happens late at night - or at 1:20 in the afternoon.
Yep. Kerry's for three things: higher taxes, sucking up to Koffi, the French & Germans and for giving Iran's Mad Mullahs an atom bomb. Yeah that'll deliver the country to him in a landslide in November. ;-)
That probably makes you rather young.
I am 31, and now that I can see 50 up ahead, it does not seem so old to me anymore. I admire your optimism. I hope that you never let the years bring you down. :)
I don't believe that anyone is undecided. The folks that want a)abortion at all costs, b)gay marriage and c)the unfettered Nanny State with EVERY last bell and whistle (that will end our nation btw) are DECIDED unless they REALLY understand how dangerous a CIC named Kerry could be, but even then, they like to see the military get whooped on and embarrassed. No ground, except obviously for the Lefty spinmeisters, has changed here tonight. The spin? Kerry's back in it, he's gaining, he's even now, it's a new race, blah, blah, blah - it ain't gonna change anyone's mind away from Bush as CIC for even one second.
I believe the wild card is the undertones that I believe sKerry is making to bring Madrid-type terror to America before the elections, which, I believe, could be a debate issue before the 3rd one is in the can...and being the Communist opportunist that Kerry is, he and the RATS will play that for ALL it's worth...
Somebody should tell the folks at DU that pacts with the Devil aren't legally binding.
