To all those who had doubts...GW's final remarks knocked it out of the park. Also, did you hear him go over and compliment Kerry afterward? Kerry, (who apparently has no social skills for someone who is so la di da) just said thank you and didn't return the compliment.

I disagree; Bush is the incumbent and shouldn't stoop to an attack of that sort.

Pointing out a guy's record is Stoopin to an attack ????????

Uh huh. I still think he was trying to beat the clock. When the time pressure off he was much more relaxed.

Jim Lehrer was not bad. I think the CBS experience has focused the media's collective mind somewhat.

Now Mark Shields, that's another story...

Yeah, I WISH I COULD DEBATE JOHN KERRY.

I'd ask him why he called my good friend a rapist, baby killer and worst. When he gave his life giving food to a begging Vietnamese child, and stepped on a landmine.

I think our President did a good job. He spoke from the heart, Kerry spoke like a well rehearsed Kennedy clone.

As usual Kerry is trying to sell his bill of goods by undermining the WOT and the President. He still has nothing solid. He's damn good at selling nothing.

If 18 percent of the so called swing voters need this debate to make up their minds at this point, they are dumb enough to buy Kerry's Kool-aid.

Susan Estrich (Fox News): The media will give Kerry the win.

Duh, Susie.

My husband is arguing with me about which talking heads to listen to.

I wanted Fox first and liberals later.

sometimes I wish he would go to bed.

The debate was a half hour too long. My wife and brother fell asleep watching it. I can't imagine many people watched the whole fight. Even I, a political junkie couldn't take it after an hour.

I think Bush had better points, but he did NOT come across well, he looked nervous, repeated himself many times, he started to stutter several times, lost track of words...

Yes, he started out strong, but in the end Kerry came off as strong and Bush looked weak and stuttering and embarrassing in the end. Geeeez!

What is wrong with Bush? He is twice the leader Kerry is and yet lets Kerry beat him in this debate?

I actually like some of Kerry's ideas.
Closing the Iraq borders primarily.
Unfortunately it couldn't be done with the troop strength we have now, and Kerry doesn't say where he would get the extra troops.( I have always thought we didn't have enough troops on the ground there)

Another Kerry point was, go in and clean the terrorists out of their strongholds. I can't really believe Kerry would do that though.

Kerry sounds good, a lot of BS .

Pres. Bush desperately needed to use some specific facts and figures instead of platitudes.
