There have been several "live threads" posted today regarding the debate starting early this morning. Let's make this the official thread.
FR Live Thread: Bush Kerry - First Debate - Thread 2 - Here we go!
Oh, please. Bush can't rebut 30 lies in 90 seconds. No one can.
Why is sKerry fixated on Russia's nukes? What business is it of ours?
I can just see Vladimir Putin looking to an aide and asking the same question. Who the *ELL is John Kerry to tell the world he's going to clean up OUR country!?
BTW...Kerry earlier said something about us not securing the Foreign Minustry to get the papers on Iraq's WMD's.....that's a laugh because we DID secure the place where the doccuments were. They were at the Iraqi CIA Complex in Baghdad. And we are STILL sifting through the papers and getting intel from them.
The 200 Billion dollar quote is a LIE! That figure factors in money in the war budget for NEXT year and some of the supplemental money after that...IN ADDITION to what we've spent so far. We haven't spent 200 billion so far.
OMG! Kerry "defended" the people who HATE this country and he still does!
Vietnam!!!! (Drrrrrink!)
"Any bets Kerry told his CIA hat/ Cambodia stories whislt in the vaults of the KGB???"
It made you think of that, too, huh? :)
"That's not what people voted for last time"
Ever hear of 9-11, Senator?
Uh-oh he referenced VietNam...drink up
"I will do the job..."
JOB?! He doesn't even show up for his OWN job!
Kerry says he was one of the first Senators in the KGB building--I don't doubt it. . .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isn't the KGB Bldg. one of sKerry and terezzzzza's vacation homes? I may be mistaken...they have so many.
Kerry is more polished. Which proves that you can indeed polish a turd.
I think America knows this. Many good leaders aren't. Who care's? Actions not words is what counts.
I had three large Bombay and tonics a couple of hours ago, so I'm OK with just about everything!
Kerry was a joke tonight. Kerry was trying to re re re make himself into bush left.
Kerry did NOT do what he needed. As always Kerry was Kerry's worst enemy.
Kerry just set himself up for some major truth injection from the SwiftVets by claiming his great defense of this country during Vietnam.
Strong STRONG ending by Bush
Thanks for staying supportive and positive about President Bush.
Even though I'm drinking my Riesling from the bottle while watching the debate, a major point is being overlooked.
President Bush hasn't changed his agenda, his love for the military and this country, or his faith in the American people for as long as he's been in the public eye.
This President has shown clearly what he's made of -- FAITH in the human spirit. I'm puzzled at how many fair weather voters doubt the man who offers them the best chance to stand on their own two feet and bask in the sun of liberty.
It's L'Orange who has everything to lose--and I hope he loses EVERYTHING. His lies and obfuscation are attempts to hide his seditious/traitorous legacy. He has provided a clear contrast for those who truly wish to see what a lover of liberty looks, acts, and thinks like.
I LOVE YOU PRESIDENT BUSH AND YOU HAVE MY UNYIELDING SUPPORT IN YOUR QUEST FOR LIBERTY AND SECURITY FOR AMERICA. You mean more than a debate to me -- you won my vote and my prayers long ago.
I disagree; Bush is the incumbent and shouldn't stoop to an attack of that sort.
True, if you coat it with enough lacquer...
Bush'd close is very good. Kerry's "I fought for this country" made me barf. And I think it did not go over well. It seemed self-serving and political. Bush has used the phrase "hard work" a dozen times. I think that resonates. Bush just closed VERY well! Thank you God!
Great closing for Dubya
