On Sunday's "60 Minutes" during which he is interviewed by longtime CBS newscaster Mike Wallace, Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly comes out with some surprising comments. He says he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, for civil unions and for gay adoption, (as a last resort instead of state custody). And he won't necessarily vote for President Bush in November.
I've known (Democratic presidential nominee John) Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," O'Reilly says.
Tell tale signs were there for quite some time.
Considering how solicitous he is toward the rump wranglers and rap music industry, inter alia, maybe he has a few more coming outs in store for his former watchers. The way he savors the word "pithy" is a dead giveaway. He getth a big lithp in for all of hith lavender fanth. What a cowardly MSM slut and bufoon he has turned out to be. When is Fox going to be fumigated?
Why? Network news is obsolete; it is the 8-track cassette tape to the cable and Internet news' digital tunes. O'Reilly screwed his audience and Fox viewers for personal gain, which he won't get any. Nobody's going to watch him now and he'll shrivel up into another Chris Matthews.
Who are you? Are you a FReeper? :)
What a piece of stupid garbage O'Reilly is. Kerry is a patriot? Who isn't. I'm sick of listening to the dope bloviate his stream of consciousness verdicts on every subject. Another legend in his own mind. And please, O'Reilly's obsession with Al Franken questioning whether he grew up in Levittown pretty much settles that O'Reilly is a pointless bore.
Yeah, Conservatives Hannity, Brit Hume, Fred Barnes Neil Cavuto, I think, Michael Barone. That's it folks.
We can now positively identify both Greta and Bill as liberals. My deciding factor was when they both declared that Scott Peterson is guilty.
O'Reilly always considered those who were born and raised in the US and believed in American values to be Far Right. This simply confirms what we have long suspected.
Some 'traditionalist', eh?
I have real doubts about him.
I vote for Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, or Peggy Noonan. what do you think? Not Hannity or someone already on, we need a new face.
stopped watching him long ago.
How come you guys all demand fairness from the mainstream media but you demand only conservative voices on FoxNews? Do you really want FoxNews to be nothing but Republican voices?
I don't agree with O'Reilly all the time, but that doesn't mean I have to change the channel.
O'Reilly giving his seal of approval to Kerry at this point in the campaign is really unhelpful. BOR saying "Kerry is a patriot" is not only untrue, it is misleading. Somw swing voters could judge that if a Republican (That's his rep, even though he isn't one) like BOR isn't determined to defeat the Traitor, how bad can he be?
BOR should be put on ignore by all conservatives and patriots. Haven't we subsidized his life enough? I am sure glad I never spent a cent on his books. I regret that I ever watched his show to get him better ratings and a higher ad asking price.
Haven't heard from you in a long time. Been a freeper for a number of years. Read this about O'Reilly today. Definitely saw red. Thought I'd share with other freepers. Billy O'Reilly the next Danny Blather.
told you all about Fox not being our friend they see a hugh market conservative and liberal.... they moved in for the conservative and how they are doing out reach......
What in the world is wrong with him??
I stopped watching him regularly a long time ago, but the thing that really made me turn him off for good was his interview with P.Diddy. He did everything but kiss his ring - then when he asked if he could call him "Mr. Combs" (probably not spelled right) Mr. P and I almost had a group barf. Mr. Bill is no longer allowed on our TV.
