Fox News Bill O'Reilly Admits His Liberalism and Democrat tilt
Wire Reports/The Spokesman-Review | 9-25-2004 | Unknown

Posted on 09/25/2004 5:41:06 PM PDT by lilylangtree

On Sunday's "60 Minutes" during which he is interviewed by longtime CBS newscaster Mike Wallace, Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly comes out with some surprising comments. He says he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, for civil unions and for gay adoption, (as a last resort instead of state custody). And he won't necessarily vote for President Bush in November.

I've known (Democratic presidential nominee John) Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," O'Reilly says.

None of this surprises me, having heard about O'Reilly's hickeyfest on Michael Moore's voluminous butt.

Considering that I got two copies of O'Reilly's book a few years back, I won't have to worry about kindling for the fireplace this year.

He's auditioning for Dan Rather's job.(he only looks out for himself, Fox was just a stepping stone to the MSM).

I didn't need 60Minutes to tell me this - Mr. Bill has openly said all this on his show. It should be no surprise to anyone who watches him regularly at all.

My friends, if true, this is a O'Reilly resume, No if ands or buts to take the dear departing Dan's job. O 'Reilly lowered himself to the point of total loathing in his pathetic attempt to move on up.

Shouldn't be a big surprise, seeing how he continually emphasizes his big concern for looking out "for the folks". It has a certain lingering liberal smell to it.

In some ways this doesn't totally mean he has a liberal tilt, it could mean he wants to replace Dan Rathers or any opening and is trying to suck up. Which is stupid because if you've read "Weapons of Mass Distortion" it predicts fox news to be on top in everything by 2006.

He shouldn't be a disappointment if you've watched him. I think he's angling for "respectability" among the media elite. He wants to be considered one of the big boys and that means adopting the liberal mindset. i gave up on him some time ago.

I think he thinks saying this kind of crap makes him "sassy".. hes as much a wussy as Kerry....he kissed Michael Moore and Alec Baldwins BUTT when they were on his show....he almost drooled on Alec Baldwin he was so impressed......
Laura Ingraham is right about him .. and Ann Coulter nailed his behind not long ago....
he can kiss my behinie too

No doubt: this becomes apparent within a week of viewing his show.

I've said from the very begining, Bill is a populist, on alot of issues.

It just happens he personally doesn't like alot of liberals, not necessarily for ideological reasons, just personal ones.

People seem to confuse personal for political far to often. I've known liberals who hate other liberals because they are obnoxious, nasty, with wild paranoia streaks. Think Gephardt and Dean supporters. They were practically attacking each other in Iowa.

He never fooled me for a moment. When he refused the SBV, I was furious. I haven't watched him since. Another liberal on Fox. It won't be long before Fox joins the ranks of CNN. I wonder what the ratio of conservatives to liberals is on Fox?

I didn't watch him on a regular basis but tuned in whenever I could. There were times he had me convinced that he was a conservative and then there were times I wondered. Now I know. I agree with the others. Let CBS have him replace Blather. No loss to Fox.

This is *not* news folks.

O'Reilly is just spinning. That guy is so full of himself. Basically he wants ratings, which means being seemingly conservative, while having respectability in certain zip codes as being objective, because folks of a lower middle class Irish heritage tend to crave respectability among their peers (well the last bit is a bit of a mouthful, but I will say it anyway). I don't think the guy has any real beliefs which fit into this objective function.
