CONTROVERSIAL TEXAS RANCHER SAYS LOCKHART WANTED DOCUMENTS //
The source of a disputed CBSNEWS report claimed Thursday that Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart tried to "convince me as to why I should give them the documents." Texas Army National Guard Lt. Col. Bill Burkett tells the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM that he has suffered four seizures since being identified as CBS' source and dogged by the media... Developing...

I suspect the FBI already has them, hope they got the warrant date right.

"Don't make FR look stupid. Burkett may have been hospitalized for depression or whatever, but seizures are not to be associated with mental illness."
True, we have a wire hair terrier that has seizures, and he is more mentally stable that most Rats, wait, let me rephrase that, we have...

Watch CBS try to clear their name by bringing criminal charges against Burkett for fabricating federal documents. Lockhart will be implicated, Rather will be 'retired', Kerry will say it all was very unfortunate Jenghis Khan type behavior he had no part in.

"...seizures are not to be associated with mental illness>"
That thinking is midieval. The man may have a mental illness. Siezures would be unrelated.

ROFL - Like Limbaugh says, more fun than a human being should be allowed to have. This is a close second to the beginning days where FreeRepublic challenged CBS.

Believe him or not who cares. This is what happens when the psuedo-media deals with psychos to build a case to effect the presidency.
That he is so unreliable is what makes it all the better because he was touted as being "unimpeachable".
I can't wait to go into the office tomorrow.
To: w1andsodidwe
Burkett is suing because he was promised cash for the documents and now the DNC and/or CBS isn't paying up.

But Mapes says that Burkett was very EAGER to pass the documents on to the campaign.
Now Burkett is saying Lockhart was the one that was eager.
Something is FISHY!
I think the Kerry camp just wanted Burkett to give them to Mapes and allow themselves to cover their tracks by not talking to him again after they gave him the documents.

That's why I say it's hilarious. I'm not at all averse to pointing out the support that Dems and their allies have given this loon in the past and asking why they don't consider him "unimpeachable" any more.

One must remember, during the LBJ years (may his soul burn for 100 years) a Texas corner's jury returned a suicide verdict on a man who had seven (7) gunshot wounds from a bolt action rifle.
Mr. Burkett had best be getting his mother-in-law to be starting his car in the morning. There's a lot of money at stake here and some people will do you-know-what.

"It's not nice to make fun of people with issues." -- Richard Simmons.
We already know that our Newman lookalike (Seinfeld) is a "people with issues". But I wonder if we're not being set up (all of us) to dismiss him as a nut and consequently dismiss the whole affair as an aberration. One of Sybill's personalities fooled CBS, NBC, let's move on (dot org.)

Here's the link to the RNC chairmans timeline. Joe Lockhart called Burkett on the 4th. Rather's story was on tv on the 8th.
