This story is getting more Clintonian, not Nixonian, by the day. It is surreal.

Uh, Dan. I've got, ahem, news for you: you have planted a bomb in the crotch of the Kerry campaign and it went off rather well. It's going to be fun watching the juiceless Kerryites scurry in the coming weeks, and you too, as you all frantically try to get us all back 'on message'. But, too late. That bomb really really went off rather nicely.
Of course, as Hillary peruses these FR threads, quietly, thoughtfully, she notices a remarkable absence of her name in the posts. That Dan's network had a lot to do with her rise to her current post in life. I bet she's chewing some gum right now.
Note Hitlary: please run in 2008 ... please. Your husband was one of the best things that EVER happened to the Republican party. Jane Austen wrote that once a face is taken, it's taken for generations ... I'd never seen the photo you reposted till tonight and I don't know if Robin Rather is a real person or what's up but if that IS Dan Rather's daughter -- If no one had ever seen Dan Rather, this photo wouldn't give such a shock.
In my opinion, Dan Rather's "apology" was nothing new. If he was truly misled, he should have called for Bill Burkett's head on a stick and demanded the other "source" come forward ASAP, so that they could have their head put on a stick. Dan Rather wasn't angry. To be honest, Dan is still hiding something.
