That's because the Kinko's transmission was a cover for the prior "cahin of custody" that went through the DNC/Max.

I continue to be absolutely bewildered by Dan Rather's intransigence on this matter.
Most of the news coverage is saying that CBS has admitted they were deceived about the memos. That's not what I saw.
What I saw was Dan Rather digging in and trying to salvage the story. He asked Bill Burkett (while knowing what his answer would be), "Did you forge the memos." Burkett answered "No."
What I saw was Dan Rather trying to send the message that the memos are indeed real, but they just can't prove it.
CBS News has turned this case into a farce!
But CBS was just the useful idiot conduit. I want the freaking forger. And whoever was holding his leash.
I just heard it..... He said "air guard" left national out.
The purpose of the interview was to serve mutual interests. Burkett will not ever be seen again on camera. The ground rules of the interview were to give plausiblity to Burketts implausible account of the story. In order to get Burkett on camera it had to be agreed the Burkett was not the intiator of contacting CBS. This lessens the appearance of guilt if you can believe that. The problem is that it asks a bigger question, why would CBS approach a certified nut like Burkett. It only opens the door that the DNC was involved which it was undoubtedly was.
Fox [anel says the DNC was quick to come out with an ad that used the CBS report, almost as if they knew what was coming (hint, hint)

Keep your eye on those people carefully. Rather and Burkette look very dishonest to me as a man. What does a woman's eye say?
What if the fax to Kinkos........was an imcoming fax......not Burkett faxing the documents out to CBS?
