"Despite her linguistic prowess and her worldliness, Heinz Kerry has, at times, a deaf ear for the nuances of slang, code, condescension, and vulgarity in Englishfor the emotion of the language. There are these bizarre moments that make you shudder, the Kerry adviser said. Like calling herself African-American to black audiences. She dismissed voters skeptical of her husbands health-care proposals as idiots, and, in a television interview with a Pittsburgh anchorwoman, employed the word scumbags to describe some of her detractors."

And who do you want as your First Lady? I would question Kerry's viability as President on his marraige choice alone....

Howie Carr calls her the gigolo's elderly second wife. Also the African Queen.

Did she learn the word scumbag from her husband, who might possibly use it quite often? It's a disgusting word that one should rarely deploy. It's nauseating, in fact. Maybe John F. Kerry uses it every day?

Carr has also described the marriage as "a gigolo marries a gold-digger" (Teresa's money is from the late Sen. John Heinz. Now she's using his Republican money to fund the Tides Foundation.)
saveliberty, are you stuck out in the People's Republic of Massachusetts? I just moved out and the thing I miss most is the Howie Carr show. And the Dairy Joy.

This is all Karl Rove's doing, of course. How dare he compel an innoncent ketchup heiress to call people idiots and scumbags. Just like he got that bumbling-rube ex-guardsman to forge those documents and bring down a bumbling national network news anchor.

ps - Photos of Kerry's 42-foot Hinckley powereboat, named the Scaramouche, are available at
http://www.wrko.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=177492&PT=. Howie Carr located it in drydock. It's a normal, middle American thing - a $600,000 boat. He likes to drive it up to the Cape Cod Clam Shack and cut in front of the little people.

Yes, I always pictured her as the mean old rich woman, throwing food or drink on the floor and yelling, belittling, and excoriating the maid in her penthouse hotel room.
She just seems like the type...

Sean takes five callers at the start of the show. Asks where they are from and calls them scumbags, idiots, and tells them to "shove it"!! LOL.
This is the first day Sean has been on 50,000 watt KKOB in Albuquerque (shoved Dr. Laura to a weak sister station). They must be going nuts with his starting off this way!

Quote from same article (See http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?040927fa_fact)- Heinz Kerry was in Fort Lauderdale to address a group of women supporters at a luxurious faux hacienda on the intercoastal waterway. It was a hot morning, and on the opposite bank workmen building a new mansion had taken their shirts off, and were gawking and gesturing, none too politely, at the ladies milling on the terrace and in the garden. Some members of the construction crew had evidently gone to the trouble of lowering a scaffold from which to spray a graffito, about ten feet high, in red paint, on the side of the bulkhead: Liberals Ruin U.S.A.

BTW, Sean apologized and said he just wanted to make a point.
