Money may indeed have changed hands. Here is what has been widely reported elsewhere:
"Burkett told Cleland that he had information that the Kerry campaign could use to ''counter the swift boat ads.'' Mr. Burkett stated he asked Cleland ''if they wanted to counterattack or ride this to ground and outlast it, not spending any money."
So money may have been part of discussion.

And Carl Cameron is now reporting on FOX that Kerry had been pushing the 60 Minutes interview for weeks to the press scribes on the plane..What was Kerry told about the forthcoming 60 Minutes II story? Who told him?

Remember Rush pointing to everything aims at Travis County Texas? Austin is in Travis County. Robin is in Austin. Rather (Dan) got caught at a Democratic fund raiser there for/with his daughter Robin. Instinct tells me she is the source & main culprit here and Dan Rather is trying to protect his daughter!
