'There are a number of serious questions that remain unanswered and they need to be answered,' says White House spokesman Scott McClellan.
'Bill Burkett, who CBS says now was their source, is not an unimpeachable source, as CBS has claimed.'
'There are news reports of Burkett having senior level contact with the Kerry campaign. That raises questions.'
'What were those contacts and what was discussed? Who is the original source of the documents?'
'Who is responsible for forging these documents?

They aren't funny, but this is a man who had knowledge of a criminal conspiracy to alter the outcome of a presidential election. Not a nice person.

I'll stop my ad-minimum attacks
People in handicapped status don't have to be nice. They might not have to follow the law either.

EXCELLENT!
I almost want to see Kerry elected, just to see him impeached!
Title 18 U.S. Code Section 4. Misprision of felony
"Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."
The Stalinist liberal pig media in bed with the Stalinist Left? Say it ain't so...
I agree!! Let's just hope the spineless senators and congressmen can get enough guts up to do these people in. Unlike with Xlinton!
The memos are not in the book, although Burkett is.
I would appreciate it. There is plenty to make fun of without resorting to cheap shots.
Cheap shots are so DU AND will be used as an example of how freepers act.
Don't mean to gripe but we have more credibility as a site if we don't sound anything like democrats underground.
I hate to see our reputation torn down over cheap shots that are not even funny and surely not needed.
"The Times just ran a new story.."
I read it, and it's not nearly as good as anything the Washington Post has done. The writing still has that holding-their noses "eewww" tone to it. They are terrified that they are going to have to change their minds about the candidates in this election.
But media scandals have a way of growing and reaching final resolution because as like-minded as all the competing news organizations are, they still are competitors. There's not one of them that wouldn't mind CBS getting a black eye. They just want to do it in a way that doesn't help President Bush too much.
When a Jayson Blair, or CNN's "Tailwind" is exposed as a fraud, it gets covered. The NY Times won't be the most aggressive, but they won't ignore it, either.
Surely you jest! Impossible to make this stuff up!

ROFL! Nice Watergate allusion.
Zactly....LOL........Stay Safe !
Actually, Squantos...BOTH are correct.
I've told my brother this since I gave up on the "unimpeachable source" being Clinton. Next, I said...why is he protecting this person so much??? Then it hit me, too....daughter!
