WASHINGTON It was the first public allegation that CBS News used forged memos in its report questioning President Bush's National Guard service a highly technical explanation posted within hours of airtime citing proportional spacing and font styles.
But it did not come from an expert in typography or typewriter history as some first thought. Instead, it was the work of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes who helped draft the petition urging the Arkansas Supreme Court to disbar President Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Times has found.

I don't think Buckhead has much to worry about, the LAT only has about 6 readers,,the rest of the papers line litter boxes and birdcages,,,
piece of cake for a Freeper!
Oooooh, oooooooh, oooooooh! The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy! [I resemble that remark, nyuck, nyuck, nyuck!]
Or sue the crap out of JimRob for violating their beloved copyright and costing FR thousands of dollars in attny fees to defend ourselves!
This is the second high profile outing of a freeper in recent memory. Some people here are learning for the first time that they may wish to be more gaurded about the info they give about themselves online.
In many BBS software the user can list his/her old postings and read them (like here) and edit them (unlike here). It might be a nice thing for people who wish to safegaurd themselves against liberal activists and MSM types if users could visit old posts and remove information.
Here Here ..totslly agree..Frauds ..all Frauds
Needs repeating.
If one wants to remain private, and be anonymous, one should not post his name on a political web site, or any site for that matter. The results of that should now be obvious. Also, one should never list his telephone number, unless they don't mind surprises. However, without elaborating, I must tell you, even if he didn't post his name, and had an unlisted telephone number, he could most likely still be found, if someone really wanted the info. Yes, it would be more difficult, but could be done.
FReepers, here is your assignment.

That was a wonderful post from Howlin in that thread. Made me laugh. I could see Staudt kicking some liberal weenie scribe's ass.
Thanks for the link.
You betch ya. Their time of bias and intimidation is over. Fox News, talk radio, and especially the Internet won't let them get away with their BS any longer. It's a new day and they have yet to wake to our dawning...

I had forgotten that bit of history. Excellent point.
The LA Times is now expecting to get the Pulitzer for uncovering FR's DEEP THROAT!
Huh? It was just a bit of advise, that most should know anyway. Nothing to get excited about.
They haven't the slightest clue what they have just done. They think the last week has been Hell? Watch what happens when they experience the wrath of the American public as they attempt to destroy a citizen for being brave enough to "out" the forgeries.
BIG Mistake LA Times. BIG Big mistake.
So the L.A Times forces us to excerpt, yet they feel free to raid our archives?
Is there a way we could copyright everthing posted on the site? Even if possible, it would only limit the scope of this great forum. Say anything you want about FR, just get the web address correct
