Blogger Who Faulted CBS Documents Is Conservative Activist (L.A Times RATS out Buckhead!)
L.A Times ^

WASHINGTON It was the first public allegation that CBS News used forged memos in its report questioning President Bush's National Guard service a highly technical explanation posted within hours of airtime citing proportional spacing and font styles.
But it did not come from an expert in typography or typewriter history as some first thought. Instead, it was the work of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes who helped draft the petition urging the Arkansas Supreme Court to disbar President Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Times has found.

I don't want to register to read the LA Times.
How did they find out Buckhead's ID?

Good heavens, many of us are professionals. And many here contribute as much (and more) than buckhead to the RNC.
Who did they think it was going to be? Someone from DU trolling over here?

Don't give out any clues to your identity in postings on FR. Not your real name, address, or where you work. Perhaps it's time for the public display of someone's postings be limited to 6 months or something. Sorta like a statute of limitation. Not suggesting deletion(the posts would still be around in the threads), just making it so it's harder to have a 1 stop shop for digging up details on someone.

No Howlin. That Buckhead was Buckhead back in 1975 for a period of 6 years. But, then the next Buckhead took over and was in operation as an activist for 1981 - 1989. You were not Buckhead until 1998-1999. Then the first Buckhead came back active for the period 2000-2003. I took over in 2004 and I found the BLASTED RATHER FORGERY AND I TOO AM AN ACTIVIST FOR THE REPUBLIC PARTY.

some Democrats and even some conservative bloggers have marveled at Buckhead's detailed knowledge of the memos and wondered whether that suggested a White House conspiracy. Now THATs funny.....
Most MSM articles about stuff I really know about demonstrate just how stupid they really are.
Well, here ya go....

They've been snorting too much of their own air down at the LA Times. For future reference; this is a conservative site. Conservatives come here. Buckhead a conservative...well, um, duh. ;)

Must've been some inadvertent clues in his posting history. Be careful about what you post if you're worried about someone finding out who you are.

A conservative! Posting on Free Republic! I mean, who would have thought such a thing? Are you questioning his PATRIOTISM?!?!?

Are there conservatives posting on FreeRepublic?!?!?!
I'm shocked!!!!!!!!!
To: spodefly; Buckhead
What's interesting is that the Times felt it necessary to "out him", which apparently involved quite a bit of time. Who he is isn't even relevant to the story. At most, it's an interesting fact.
I guess that in mindset of the Times, the fact that he's a conservative is a damning relevation, and they hope to ruin his career.
In fact, it will help it.
Hope you don't mind working long hours, Buckhead!
To: Redcoat LI
Did the LAT's really think that the DNC would "out" Dan and the memos. Of course it would be a conservative, one big reason being conservatives don't take what they are feed as fact.
