You know, I've been a member of FR since before the 2000 election. I have not always agreed with the posts of the male-dominated membership in FR, but I have appreciated the positions of each and every one of you. But it has become very clear to me during this 2004 campaign why many women cannot embrace the conservative and/or Republican agenda. I have been since Nixon, and will remain one despite the predominance of the sexist condescension of a large group of Republican men. So let's get down to the bare bones of the situation, okay? And I really couldn't care less about the flames and insults that the lower domination of the FR membership will inflict on me for this little tirade of mine. There are so, so many women just like me who fervently believe in the ideals of the Republican and George W. Bush. We may recognize the lack of a female perspective in some issues, but we grasp the overall concept and recognize it as our own core values. We have basically learned to pick our battles. We share the views of conservative men in regards to our need for a superior military defense, a belief in the need for personal accountability and responsibility, a eff-you attitude towards our former French and Canadian and other similar so-called "allies," a need to defy the wimpy attitudes of those utopian countries who are in total denial about the condition of the world today and the necessarily severe actions necessary to ensure the survival of a righteous and moral world. We're out here, guys, and we feel just as strongly about these values as you do even if we don't feel the need to express them with your chest-beating and neverending pissing contests.
So in the midst of your extemely intelligent, compassionat idealogy, the less evolved of you start spouting your sexist and primate idealogy that becomes such a total turn-off to so many women who believe in your core values. Why do most women vote liberal? Because so many men are so busy being macho that they refus to embrace a woman's perspective on issues. You won't deter me or a very, very large group of women just like me. We are a very large and growing block of voters, and to grow that base, you need to recognize our different perspectives on the same core values. Stop pushing us away, and embrace our contributions. We are not so different, only the way God intends us to be. There's a reasons for differences, and they are for the greater good.
So hit me with your best shot. I will probably never post here again. And know this: I believe in George W. Bush, and will always be a conservative woman, although I'll probably be searching for another venue to share my beliefs.
You're hitting all my husband's favorite songs. I like the lyric change in this last one!
That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Where the heck did you find it?
Are you for real? Hand over my responsibility to men? Because I will not do that means I'm a socialist? God, women like you frighten me.
(free mojo)
LOL. I love that song.
This post sums it all up.
Always meant to ask you - how did you snap up user ID #1? You been around here long? ;-)
I'm not a drinker. The beer was for my dogs. But, that's the damn spirit, girlfriend.
That ape girl in the photo ... Do you have her number?
Trust me, I'm VERY careful these days...
Boink is a perfectly acceptable term. See definition #1. Our mothers use it, LOL
The "previous" me (I'm not sure if it was Austin, Dr. Evil, or Fat Bastard) got banned in the pre-zot days for totally flaming some RAT scum poster. That was the way things were done.
I remember getting flamed on my very first post, and when I asked our MA leader about it, he told me to grow an armadillo skin. So I did.
I hadn't posted or even lurked for a while, and hadn't read the new kindler, gentler, posting guidelines, and proceeded to flame someone when I logged back in after a long absence.
Some moderator, (I'm assuming a trainee) whacked me on the spot.
I was even a $ donor, too. Never again.
Hey, "stuff" happens....
If I ever get banned again, I might join the "Suicide Kid", LOL!
NOT!
LOL! Always the rebel! ;-)
Sounds like a "sleeper troll" to me. :-)
They're not too hard on me, even when I dance up to the line. Prolly just used to this old barnacle. ;-)
LOL. Must've been plain dumb luck.
I have seen it here quite often. I even saw it today (the only way I would have found it) on a thread today. I just copied the address. I have no idea where it originated.
Mr Cardcarryingmemeber.vastrightwc,
I am puzzled by your posting. ??? You must have me confused with another lobster.
WOW....you're turning into quite the lyrics poster;three songs on one thread. That's a record for you. :-)
good point.
Would we have the women's movement as we know it if men had moved faster to support the vote for women? Or not worked so hard to keep us limited in the work force? Or, if we still didn't have some men mention that the worst thing that happened to the Nation was/is the women's vote. (We won't even mention the trashing of Kobe Bryant's accuser.) What would our nation look like if white men had worked harder to abolish - or not enact them - after Reconstruction?
I'm not asking for "PC" and don't get the idea that 2-in-Texas is, either. There's a difference between "PC" and deliberate attempts to belittle and insult the other side.
And, as 2-in-Texas said, you can't get rid of us even with clumsiness. This is our fight, you are the enemy of our enemy, and we'll put our shoulder to the wheel, even if some of our energy has to be wasted shoving you over a bit to make room for us.
Hi Deb! It's been a while since we've posted on the same thread. Hope you're doing well.:-)
