Howlin started a Live Thread September 10, 2004 to see what Dan would say. He told us his report was the facts and nothing but the facts.
Well, it is now Monday, the 13th. What will Dan say today?
In regards to the memo with one 'th' superscripted and the other not:
If you have chosen AutoFormat to replace Ordinals with superscripts, the ordinal WILL be replaced with a superscript if you simply type normally.
However, if you forgot to put the ordinal in, and there is text after the number, but then go back later to insert it, it will be typed in as the normal sized font.
Conclusion: The forger simply forgot to put the ordinal on the first occurance of the number; upon proofreading he/she went back and inserted it.

They would still be forgeries. Where did they come from? Copies are inherently unreliable. His family and associates say these are fakes. Anything that passed through the DNC obviously is suspect.
Proving it is "possible" Killian typed originals that became these copies still would not prove that he did.
You know what's funny - SeeBS has stooped to using internet resources to attempt to 'explain' how this could be done w/o resorting to MS Word in 1972 - I think that's how they stumbled on this 'Bill Glennon' guy ...
ROFL ;^D
You should read the surprising CBS online article referred to in:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1215022/posts
It quotes all the expert naysayers from various MSM and CBS defence in one article. Maybe others in CBS are starting to see the light?
Boycott the O'Reilly Factor and all his advertisers until he publicly condemns Rather for his actions.

A new line of attack seems to be opening up if you read US SNOOZE and WORLD report -- that Bush's honorable discharge was somehow "undeserved" I can't recall the exact quote from the article but somebody wondered how Bush could possibly have qualified for an honorable discharge.
Prediction: The Dems and the MSM will start insinuating that the discharge itself is somehow questionable
The *best* proof against this is that website which had superimposed text created in MS Word over the text pulled from one of those CBS .pdf files ... the *match* is just *too* close ...
Well, yes, assuming they came through, it probably would. (My head is still spinning from his work for IBM those "13 years in the 70s.")
You're not alone.
If they were ordered in minimum numbers or very close to the dates in question - they stil would not have trickled down to the guard.
I have never seen so many otherwise complacent people agitated by something like this. That this reaction is taking place means CBS has had it. While I never thought CBS would have the temerity to discharge Rather, for it to keep him on after this is essentially a repudiation of its audience.
It is always the coverup that turns the crime into a horror that will not long fade from memory. Ask Nixon, Clinton, Martha Stewart and--soon--Dan Rather and CBS.
Sorry for ya man.
You may have gotten my dad's old typewriter.
If you had trouble with the bar (that holds the paper) sliding back at the end of the lines...
That's my fault. I was visiting my dad in his office and knocked a typewriter off the desk.
Unfortunately, you're right.
Nothing will come of this.
And America is the looser.
Or why an F102 pilot at the end of his career like Killian would even care about the type font on his so-called CYA memos which were their to cover him from what?
Still hoarse?
