Howlin started a Live Thread September 10, 2004 to see what Dan would say. He told us his report was the facts and nothing but the facts.

Well, it is now Monday, the 13th. What will Dan say today?

No expert with any intelligence is going to form an opinion based on copies. They will only authenticate originals.

AFAIK, not only are these copies, we don't know (read: DNC-BS hasn't told us)

whether the copies they have (they deny having the originals) were copied 500 times, faxed back and forth a few dozen times, and then scanned (how many times?) into a pdf file.

Okay so when does the media start asking the real questions-like who forged these documents to try and smear the President of the Unite States?

Which media? The ABCCBSNBCCNNWashPostNYTimesetal Media, or the FNCWSJWashTimesTalkRadioFRBlogger Media? The former will NEVER ask those questions; we've been asking them since literally seconds after C-BS unearthed the "memos".

right and wrong. no one will authenticate on dupes, but dupes can be of such obvious forgeries that a document can be discredited on that basis. (for instance, you can cut and paste a signature and xerox the doc and not know whether the sig was on the original. but if the signature is a forgery, it doesn't matter, because it's obvious even from the copy that the thing is no good.)
