The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

This September 11 marks the third unforgettable anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9-11 terrorist acts and that we have an enormous problem with extremism and support for terrorism. Many Muslims, including religious leaders, and "intellectuals" blamed 9-11 on a Jewish conspiracy and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on 9-11. Yet others blamed 9-11 on an American right wing conspiracy or the U.S. Government which allegedly wanted an excuse to invade Iraq and "steal" Iraqi oil.

My thoughts exactly! Thanks for posting the article. It doesn't really give us any new information, but that's because we are all TMers.

The total number of days since the United States attacked Iraq is 551. When you add the numbers 5+5+1 it equals 11.

1) New York City has 11 letters.

2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.

3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

4) George W. Bush has 11 letters.

1) New York is the State # 11.

2) The first plane crushing against the Twin Towers was flight # 11.

3) Flight # 11 was carrying 92 passengers Adding this number gives us: 9+2=11.

4) Flight # 77 who also hit the towers, was carrying 65 passengers Adding this: 6+5=11.

5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11. Adding this: 9+1+1=11.

6) The date is equal to the emergency number 911. Adding this: 9+1+1=11.

1) The total number of victims inside the planes are 254: 2+5+4=11.

2) The day September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year: 2+5+4=11.

3) After September 11, there are 111 days more to the end of the year.

4) The tragedy of 3/11/2004 in Madrid also adds to: 3+1+1+2+4=11.

5) The tragedy in Madrid happened 911 days after the tragedy of the Twin Towers.

Be careful everyone - this may be absolutely meaningless, or again, it might bear paying a little extra caution tomorrow!

Hmmmm. Alot of food for thought in that article. I wonder what country bought the goods this time? What are the goods exactly? Are they considered "dual use"? What existing contract do we want fulfilled by the Chinese before the sanctions take effect? I guess we don't want national security to get in the way of commerce, right?

LOL. That's about it, Cindy. We are so acclimated to this by now.

But I guess the powers that be really cannot do much more than rehash suspicions and facts, of which the Gertz piece is a case in point. They seem to be covering all bases, like with the October FBI program.

I thought it was interesting that one official said that al qaeda thrives on secrecy and the U.S. doesn't. This is so true and to our detriment. Both al qaeda's and our methods have hurt us greatly in the terrorism war.

This is what the Feds are scared about. They know some things that have them on edge and they are even more scared about what they don't know. To round everything out, they are hearing warnings from multiple foreign intelligence services about potential strikes a la pre-911.

I wonder if we will start hearing from talking heads and show hosts in the coming days about how this uptick in terror talk is all a ploy by GWB...
