They're whistling past the graveyard, but their song is out of tune, and the people in that graveyard aren't really dead.

Shoot.
Of course they covered it.
We did all the leg work - they just read our research on air.
This story was solid by 3:00 p.m.
Papers have plenty of time to print it, but they are hoping Ivan hits first so they won't have to.

"talking to someone upstairs." I'm sure this has been said, but what is wrong with Lt. Bush PRAYING about as important an issue as this?

I do not know if you've seen this blog, but the superimposed view in one of the images hit it out of the park.
Check it out. The liberals are melting down. Too Funny!

Yeah, just saw the pre-commercial blurb. Guess they're gonna fall on their swords for the Party.

Forgery, election fraud, false reporting(FCC?)."
Wouldn't interefering in the campaigns be illegal?

Potential DEATH BLOW for old media shaping up. Brit would not have ran an entire segment on this unless they know more than he and Byron York over viewed.

The thing that scares me the most is how dumb does CBS think their viewing public is.

As others have noted, the use of the "spelled out date" of 18 August 1973 is "typical" of MS Word -
I just went back to my own discharge papers form the TXANG - 147th Fighter Group and confirmed that all dates are standard military usage and thus shoud read:= 18AUG73

Unreal. You'll have to excuse my tardiness on getting up to speed on this story - I've spent pretty much all of my recent Freep time and news watching time on the Great Florida Hurricane Assault of 2004.
I just can't believe that these guys are that stupid and incompetent. Something else is at work here, like an unimaginable level of arrogance and a mindset that is hopelessly stuck in pre-Internet times.

Barnes may have gotten some into NG...but not Bush...and I'll bet not in the ANG..Unlike the regular Guard, they had openings is my understanding.
